Here the difference we wouldn't went 7 games with Nurk so we would been more rested. We wouldn't have up so many offensive rebounds. We could play through Nurk with his passing skills and that would relieve the pressure of Dame but not CJ because cj would continue to dribble the whole shot clock until he has the shot contested or uncontested. We probably would better if Stotts was smart enough to play Nurk and Zach together.
Sure is a large amount of Stottsbashing going on here. I think losing Nurk handicapped Stotts immensely. And it showed.
Do you believe we should have been more competitive against the Warriors? We have been losing to them for 5 years. Losing is a nice way to put it. Did they even break a sweat?
That series was extremely competitive. I seem to recall the Blazers building huge leads only to have GS come back ( and forth) and win in the final minute or even seconds. That's competitive to me. Everybody has been losing to them for five years. I believe in patience grasshopper...patience and continuity...and Nurkic.
Clippers , Rockets won 2 games each. That is competitive. We got swept for the 3rd time by the same team? You call that competitive? You can't be serious.
The worse part is, losing for the same reasons in the same way. Doing the same things hoping for different results.
These goddamn excuses... theres always so many excuses for Stotts running one basic pick n roll/screen defense and tunning slow-ass basic pick n roll offense.
I think what many are saying that you may not get is whats the point? Your not going to fit a square peg into a round hole. Stott's did what he could with the tools. Im just saying, some things you call excuses are facts man. some not. But with some of them being facts, it DOES limit your options. THATS a fact.
snapshots of the scoreboard 20-30 minutes into the game don't mean much at all. It's the NBA the series was NOT "extremely competitive". If it had been the Blazers would have won 2 or 3 games. The Blazers didn't embarrass themselves by losing games by 30 points, but there are no moral victories in the playoffs. The series with Denver was extremely competitive; getting swept doesn't fit the template
The Weird thing about shooting outdoors compared to indoors is how much arc you gotta put on your shot. Indoors (where I normally play) I guess my shot is flat, but when I play outdoors always thinking while I shoot about oh this has to go higher.
and you always have to butt in where you weren't involved. It was a fucking joke so next time, just mind your own business ok.
