Well the title pretty much explains itself. How do you know if your truly in love or not. I just wanna know because for the first time ever I think I might be truly in love with someone. I know love is an incredibly strong word especially since I'm only 14 and I'm not even dating her but I just can't help but feel like what I'm feeling is more than just a huge crush.and yeah I do feel like a loser asking this on a message board
I dont think many people here can tell you....I know I cant cause ive never been in love. I have heard that love at first site is true...but I dunno

Yeah I know it's pretty rare especially when your not even dating the person. I'll do my best to describe everything. Alright so there's the obvious things like she's constantly on my mind, when I'm around her I feel like one of the happiest guys in the world, other than friends and family she's all I really care about anymore, she's more important to me than my own life, etc. But there's more to it than that. One of the main things that makes this different than any other crush I've ever had is she actually has every single personality trait and physical attribute I look for in a girl(and I'm pretty picky btw). Another thing is for the first time ever just being around her is good enough for me. Just talking or hanging out with her satisfies me enough. Like I know if I do start going out with her, she won't be comfortable going past 1st or 2nd base in High School because she's the goody goody type with good morals but I'm ok with that. Just as long as I'm around her I don't care what I'm doing with her. Another thing is all of a sudden no others girl other than her really appeal to me anymore. Now that I've found a girl that has everything I look for, I don't even have the slightest interest in anyone else.Like if I got to choose between her and Jessica Alba I would choose her. I feel like there's a lot more I have to say but a lot of it I just don't know how to describe in the right way to be honest.BTW The Truth I'm 14 but I'll be 15 in less than 2 months and I'm going into 10th grade lol...
I hate when people say you "can't" be in love just because you're young or whatever, I was in love at young age. Its not likely but just because someone is 14 doesn't mean they're not in love. I just find it quite unlikely that he is.
Love is intangible, and you can only use your own definition of it. My opinion is that love is large doses of primal lust, friendship, and lots of rationalization, so by that measure you can be in love at any point once you've reached puberty. You also can fall out of love. Is a feeling that is fleeting and simply caused by an overactive hypothalamus and amygdala any less valid than a long lingering sense of duty and societal constraint that people generally think of love as being? I think that due to love's intangibility, you, and only you, have the right to say whether or not you're in love with somebody.
The reason why I dont think he can be in love at 14 is because you cant really know the ins and outs of a person unless you are constantly with them, you date them, you go everywhere with them, you know every single detail about this person and vice versa....and im sorry, but I cant believe a 14 year old has been with somebody like that. I was in a serious relationship for a year and a half and not once did I feel I knew the person enought to know if I loved her or not. Thats just me though...buts its difficult for me to say a 14 year has fallen...
I think 14 year olds can be in love. Look at some couples who've been with each other since they were kids. It's not a out of reach.
They most likely grew into love....I remember my Studen Council teacher(Ms Sparks) she married her best friend(who was her best friend sinve they were children...she said) and she said she didnt fall in love with him until they got older...I dunno, its just my opinion...come back in 5 years and we'll see if you still "love" the chick...
I didn't respond to the topic, so here goes. Do you know the girl iversonfan? Or is this just from a glance. Like are you actually friends with this chick or is this some obsession(remembers iversonfans American Psycho pics).
I think he can be. I mean I am 15 and I am. It's actually with my girlfriend though so...it's a bit different

You need to get to know go out with her and get to know her first before saying you love her.
awww puppy lovebut you'll know... like you want to spend every second with her. you will do anything for her.. and really do it not just say it..when u can be on the phone 4 hours sayin nothing but yet love every second...things like that..

Honestly, I don't know anyone in my surroundings but I think certain termed high school sweethearts would fit the range.
You said it, highschool sweathearts....which means they dated through highschool..which its the years when you ARE able to be with somebody basicly 24/7, cause you are able to drive on your own, you go out more etc. You cant do these things when your 14...
