Not quite sure where to put this: Former NBA guard Jamaal Franklin participated in a free agent mini-camp with the Trail Blazers, according to Sportando’s Nicola Lupo. Franklin averaging 32.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, eight assists, and 2.4 steals this past season with the Sichuan Blue Whales in China. He last played in the league during the 2014-15 season with Denver. Franklin also recently participated in a Kings mini-camp.
Olshey is going to trade up or trade out imo. Those expirings give him flexibility to take on shitty contracts in exchange for a higher pick. I just don’t see the point of sticking at 25 and taking a player. This class is kinda doo doo down there and we should be focusing on significant upgrades, one way or another.
What's a fan to think? Tankathon has Kabengele going in the 2nd round (#33). nbadraft.net has him going #10.
That's not news, but I don't think he'll last to the 2nd round, so the other site may be questionable, too.
In today’s nba it’s like the NFL, after the perceived top guys... it’s all about what team falls in love with you. Not necessarily talent.
So Windler worked out for us today, along with a bunch of summer league guards at best. So far our workout participants seem to indicate that 25 will be dealt.
Well supposedly they have 2 more workouts so let see if who comes in. They might already know who they going to draft and maybe they looking to see if anyone worth buying a 2nd rounder.
Kabengele won't go in the lottery. Zion, Morant, Barrett, Culver, Hunter, Hayes, Reddish, Garland, White, Little, Langford, Hachimura, Herro, Clarke and Washington will all go above him. Bol, Keldon Johnson, Alexander-Walker, Bitadze and Doumbouya should probably all go higher as well.
This is a good site for combine metrics, player comparisons and SPARQ ratings: https://nbathlete.com/
CBS website ran a mock that has Keldon Johnson dropping all the way to Blazers at 25. I wonder if they actually have some insight, or are just hucking stuff at the wall to see what sticks?
