Everyday we'll post a new thread with a new division to preview, so let's start in the AFC East and work our way out west...Just post in order of what you think the standings will look like when it's all said and done. Feel free to post records as well.
1. Patriots - Adding Moss and Stallworth was genius. I expect Brady to have his best season yet, and lead the Pats to the best record in the NFL.2. Dolphins - With a good quaterback finally under center since Dan Marino, this team is looking to make the playoffs this year. They also added Porter on the defensive side. This team is pretty balanced.3. N.Y. Jets - The Jets will give Miami a run for their money for second place in the division I feel. They are coming off a breakout season and looking to challenge the division.4. Bills - No more McGahee, and they are just in an overall tough division. They barely missed the playoffs last season, but if they want any shot this season, JP Losman has to put up some big numbers.
I like your formatting! I think I'll do mines like that as well.Patriots- Brady threw for over 3,500 yards last year while tossing 24 TDs. I think if he can do all of that with guys like Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney to throw to, new players such as Randy Moss, Dante Stallworth and Kelly Washington won't hurt at all. And the defense is still among the best, even with aging veterans. 14-2Jets- Pennington comes off his first season in which he played all 16 games, and now has a perfect RB in Thomas Jones who can take some of the load off his surgically-repaired shoulders. However it will be interesting to see how the defense will hold up with Jonathan Vilma not being a factor in the 3-4 system. This team could sneak into the playoffs, but I think they'll fall just short of getting there. 9-7Bills- The staff designed an offense that is much like the vintage offense that the Rams produced in the early part of the decade. Rookie Marshawn Lynch is the perfect back for the job, and is an upgrade over the limited Willis McGahee. The team took a huge hit when free agent CB Nate Clements left for San Fran, and that will put a huge hole in the teams pass-defense. However the Tampa 2 system will work well for the young unit, and the team will be average at best. Losman must take another step in his development and find more receivers down field, even if he produced 19 TDs and 3,000 yards last year. 8-8Dolphins- Trading for Trent Green was a nice move for Miami, and their worries at QB will be solved for the upcoming year. However much will rest on whether or not rookie John Beck will be ready to take over for Green either late in the year or in 2008. The offense almost the same as last year's unit, and the defense improved greatly with the addition of Joey Porter. But the Dolphins still lack that offensive fire-power needed to complement their vicious defense. They'll improve, but I doubt they'll contend for a playoff spot. 7-9
They acquired Joey Porter, who is an above average linebacker...Ronnie Brown should get even better, Jason Taylor is a beast at DE, and Zach Thomas is still an amazing overall LBTrent Green also got traded to their team, and he's a solid QB...Only thing is that their secondary is still pretty mediocre.

Their o-line is still a mess, and it's going to be hard getting Green enough time in the pocket. Brown may have a good year, but he can't find the holes needed for him to get into the secondary... I can see them going 7-9 at best, but the Jets will be better, and the Bills may finish ahead or tie them for the last place.
New England - 15-1Jets - 11-5Bills - 10-6Dolphins - 0-16Gotta hate those Dolphins and their fans :brucelee:

I really don't see them going 7-9. Their offense isn't as bad as you make it out to be.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (playaofthegame @ Jun 22 2007, 10:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>New England - 15-1Jets - 11-5Bills - 10-6Dolphins - 0-16Gotta hate those Dolphins and their fans :brucelee:</div>15-1...damn...that's quite a lofty expectation..

I can see us losing to the Colts or Chargers and that's pretty much it. There's certain things that need to fall in place though. If Adalius Thomas can be our defensive MVP and live up to the hype/Rodney Harrison is healthy/Brandon Meriweather can step in and start and the D-Line can provide a nice rush defense I think we can shut down the offenses of Indy and San Diego. But let's be honest the Indianapolis offense will get raped by our pass offense. Especially if Bob Sanders is injured again. And San Diego doesn't have that great of a D, just S(teroids)hawn MerrimanI expect a range of 15-1 to 13-3. We shouldn't lose many games at all after all those dollars spent in the offseason. The thing that makes me mad is how Asante Samuel is being such a little bi*ch. He's never made more than $700,000 and he's gonna get paid $7 million next year. He's holding out until week 10. We're gonna ship his ass out. He hasn't earned #1 corner (Champ Bailey) money yet. He has to prove he can do it again. I'm comfortable enough with the versatility of the players on our defense that we'll be fine without him and we can trade him for a 1st rounder.

It happens to everyone, and I'm sure it will happen to you too. You can't just say that you'll go 15-1 because you're better than everyone else. You have to add in potential losses here and there.
New England: 12-4New York: 10-6Dolphins: 8-8Buffalo: 5-11I think the Dolphins will be improved, but I still think it will be a rough season for the Dolphins. The offense will move a little better with Green knowing Cam Cameron's system. Also the fact that Trent Green was able to produce with mediocre at best receivers in Eddie Kennison and people worse tham him. Now he is throwing to a legit target in Chris Chambers, and another legit 2nd option in Marty Booker, as well as Ronnie Brown who is an excellent pass catcher out of the backfield. Ronnie Brown is going to get used alot more this year, as Cameron loves to use his running backs alot, he did run LT alot in San Diego as coordinator. The big question mark is the line however, which will still be subpar at best I believe. Cameron is reported to want to install some zone blocking, but with Mcintosh leaving, and us having LJ Shelton as our starting Left Tackle to start the season does not help us. He is to slow for the zone blocking, and can't react quick enough to figure out who to block. Mike Rosenthal one of our key pickups this offseason is also a terrible blocker out of Minnesota. Really our only good players on the line will be Rex Hadnot who is decent he will get the job done, but nothing great. Our other is right tackle Vernon Carry, who is a very good right guard. He does alot to help out, and stops the opponents defense tackles by himself alot, as well as helps out the center with a great deal when needed. The key to this season will be continued offensive line help. Our defense will be set, we still do have only mediocre corners, but they are more than usuable in the NFL. With the way our front seven will be able to get pressure on the quarterback with Taylor and Porter both there, two of the best edge rushers in the game, they will make life alot easier on the secondary and cause the opponents quarterbacks to struggle. Chrowder and Thomas will continue to patrol the field from the inside linebacker spots and prove to be two of the best in the game. This defense will again be a top defense in the league. The only question will be how the offense helps them out with field position and scoring.

They lost WAY too many talent that they had. Willis McGahee, Nate Clements, Takeo Spikes, London Fletcher. Who knows how good Marshawn Lynch will be in the offense, your corners are really weak with Terence McGee and Kiwakuee Mitchell and the linebacking corp is one of the worst in the league. Your only offensive threat is Lee Evans who could have a breakout year considering he's the main target, but teams will learn how to double cover him leaving open Peerless Price? He's getting way to old now and might be washed up. The only thing I like about the Bills is that they have two young safetys (Donte Whitner + Ko Simpson)My prediction for the Bills is the will have the worst record and probably get the first pick in the draft. Once they get that first pick - probably go after Brian Brohm - Colt Brennan or Drew Henne. Perfect situation because J.P Losman IS NOT the future for the team.

I'll agree with you in saying that Nate Clements was a HUGE loss, but as for the rest of your statement, you don't know anything about our team. I did not say we were going to be a good team, I said we'll be 8-8 which is average. To say that we're going to be the worst team is like saying the Raiders have a shot at making the Super Bowl. There are some things you can't predict, but I wil guarantee you that the Bills not be the worst team this seaon. I would go farther with my statement, but I doubt you want to read a page summary on the Bills.

They won't pull off many wins.
