I developed some uncontrolled bleeding and my wife rushed me to the E-Room. Ran stop signs and red lights on the way. I'm now okay but not feeling tip top.
Thank goodness you are ok now. I will give you a call later today, buddy. For now, rest as much as you can.
On top of that I feel like dog doo doo because I got my last shingles shot earlier in the day yesterday. If you haven't had either one of your two shingles shots required to protect you from shingles then be prepared for both a very sore arm and terrible flu like symptoms which for me last a little over a week and for my wife lasts 4 or 5 days. God, she's tough.
Love my wife. For some strange reason that I simply cannot understand and have to attribute to a miracle, she seems to love me. There must be some special reason that God blessed me with her although I'm stymied as to what it could possibly be. One of the best parts is that we finish each other's sentences. When we go to church I always begin with a solemn prayer that God will help me to be a better Christian, husband, relative and friend. She's probably praying for at least some of the same thing, i.e. That I will miraculously be a better husband which is not for lack of effort on my part.
The last time I was in the VA clinic in Bandon, they asked me if I wanted a flu shot and a shingles shot. I said yep to the flu shot and then I said I have questions about the shingles shot. While I was getting the flu shot, explained that three people I knew got the singles shot, and all three then got the shingles. Why would I want to go for four? He said yes, some people did get the shingles but we have a new vaccine and it is not supposes to infect you. I then asked him, so it is new? Yes. How do you know then it wouldn't give me the shingles? He said well that is why we have a new one, it is correct the issue. Well, it has been about 75 years since I had the chicken pox and I have never had the shingles. Do you think I can make it another year and maybe you can say the shot will not give me the shingles? He told the nurse to forget the shingles shot.
