http://www.rottentomatoes.com/ 1408 is getting fantastic reviews while Evan Almighty is getting very poor reviews for being formulatic and not very funny. Kind of suprised by 1408, wrote it off early when ROK took me about it.
I'm not suppressed 1408 is getting good reviews. It's based off a Stephen King. That guaranties a hell of a story with some great twists. Evan Almighty just seems lame.Btw, Cell is the next Stephen King. Plus Roth is directing it. Money
Yeah, Evan Almighty does look lame, just like Bruce Almighty it's a movie that could have been awesome but lacked any kind of creativity. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/black_sheep/ "Black Sheep" is getting good reviews, it's about killer sheep in New Zealand.

Just about anything with John Cusack amuses me..ive wanted to see that for a while...cant wait.I havent even seen Bruce Almighy, I watched the first 30 minutes and I didnt laugh once..it just wasnt funny to me. I dunno, Jim Carrey is overrated IMO.

I dont like him, never had..just the type of comedy he does(Chris Farley did it too) really isnt funny to me. I just dont like him that much and I hardly find something of his funny...BUT, I do like his more deeper films like Enteral Snshine, Truman Show etc.

Much of Farley's movies and prat falls were due to his size, Carrey is skinny. He's more like a rubberman with his gags, then Farley's fat gags. If were talking slapstick, that sh*t is funny, and I'm sorry you don't enjoy it.
I could not stop laughing after I saw Ace Ventura, and I though Bruce Almighty was pretty dang good, it just got so "slow" as the movie went on... I like Steve Carrel, but I'll have to pass on this one, the trailers and tv ads just don't show anything funny at all. :thumbdn1:

It's pretty obvious that Evan Almighty was gonna be awful. I liked the first one, but it's definitely not a movie that should have a sequel.1408 looks ridiculous and stupid from the preview, but also fun and interesting. If Sammy Jackson is in it, you know it's probably pretty good.
