Well we all know lakers want Gordon Deng Tyurs and or #9Now some people think trading gordon, Tyurs and deng for kobe is good....But if we did do that deal You have to remember kobe can opt out in 2years.now if kobe cant win with us in chicago for sure he will leave...And where will he go...back to laWhere there team will look likePG Gordon SG kobeSF dengPF tyursC ByumWith allll those players being on top of there game in 2 years..just a thought I had
If Kobe is traded to Chicago, he's not going to opt out back to the Lakers...please. If you are regarding this from the article posted a while ago, it was fake. I took it down after I found out.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BuLLzDoMaIn @ Jun 20 2007, 02:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^^ idk whats your talkin bout... this was something I was just thinkin bout while I was sitting here</div>Well, main point is, if Kobe is traded...there is no way he opts BACK to the Lakers. Even if they have a better team, if Kobe demands a trade and then is traded, he's going to go all the way. Besides, in that deal you posted, it's not like you are getting ripped off. You are getting Kobe freakin Bryant. Your team could still compete for best in the East.
So what if we are getting kobe.... With that deal we are getting ripped off. Getting kobe doesn't mean a ring...Maybe a trip to the finals and then get our ass kick.I raither keep our team the way it is then gut it for kobewith the team we got now im sure we can make it to the finals.. east isnt that hard.

That's if you trade Tyrus and keep the 9th.
Yeah man, I dont know why you would be against this trade. Kobe's supporting cast in Chicago would be greater than the cast he has now in LA. And after what the Lakers' organization has supposedly done to him (tell him they are going for immediate results but really have been rebuilding) and his disapproval of the management (not going after the free agents that they could have had)- there is no way he is going to go back to LA. Keep in mind Thabo Sefolosha has been described as a pretty decent promising player especially in defense. He could be the next bruce bowen to develope (but less hated and less dirty). Chris Duhon has proven to be good depth for the bulls.
The only way Chicago should do a deal is if Ben Wallace is not involved. If the Lakers want Big Ben in the deal, it would be pointless for the Bulls to accept it. They are one big man away from competing, so losing the only inside prescence you have makes no sense. And, Kobe can't win without a good big man downlow. Now, if they make a deal where Wallace isn't involved, they should do it.
First, there is no chance in hell that the Bulls do that deal. They will not give up both Deng and Gordon for Kobe, yet alone add Tyrus and the pick. The Bulls don't need Kobe, they don't necessarily even want Kobe. The Bulls have a 24 year-old shooting guard who scores 21 a game on great all around percentages. He'll probably top out at about 24-25 a game; which isn't too shabby. What the Bulls WANT is a big man, because that's what they NEED. Now, would they take Kobe? Abso-freakin-lutely, but only in the right deal. Meaning that they have a legit chance to win a championship; not be the 2007 Cavs. And a lineup of Kobe, Hinrich, Nocioni, and crap would have a hard time even being that.Second, I don't know why people outside of Chicago think that the Bulls have a lot of depth. The Bulls supporting cast sucked last year. The Bulls last year were Deng/Gordon/Hinrich. Wallace was inconsistent for the majority of the year and showed up like once every 3 games. Nocioni missed half of the season with his foot injury, and when he came back he wasn't 100%, thus he didn't contribute much. Duhon was garbage for the majority of the year. There was a two month stretch in the middle of the season in which Duhon made a total of about 3 or 4 shots, was benched a number of games, and even suspended for breaking team rules. Thomas and Sefolosha were rookies who weren't counted upon much because you never knew what they would give you. And I don't think I even need to mention any of our other scrubs.
^^^^ thank youeven if we trade gordon deng thomas and #9 we still got to trade wallace or kirk..And yeah thabo your right... our bench isnt good at all...you take out noc and who are we left with ? no one..

You cannot sign and trade somebody and ship them off in a trade packaged with other players. It's against the rules.

You can't sign and trade 2 players on one side of the same deal. For example, a couple of years ago in the trade between the Bulls and Knicks.Bulls send:Eddy Curry (sign and trade)Antonio DavisKnicks send:Tim ThomasMichael SweetneyJermaine Jackson (sign and trade)plus a galore of draft picks
Yeah thabo is right, unless u mean something different..and PJ had 2 agree to it.. I dont think he will..He might just retire

You don't want Kobe because of what he might do when he becomes a free agent and what your young players might become? Please. Trading 0 stars for the best player in the league is the best trade any team could ever make. Also, it would be hilarious if a deal was done and P.J. Brown nixed it. Alot of people don't know this, but the Detroit Pistons had a deal completed that would have made Allen Iverson a Piston in the early 2000s, but it fell through because Matt Geiger as a salary filler waved a no trade clause.

How do the Bulls even manage to win any games with all these average players? Not to mention that they're only 22 and 24 years-old, respectively. And yeah, like I already said, PJ would obviously have to agree to the deal before it can even be put in place. So in a sense there wouldn't be any deal to nix if he didn't agree to it prior.

But to answer your question, defense and they play in the East.
So defense must be their one dimension? Let me ask you, how come other teams in the East don't win as many games if that's all it takes? Also, how many other small forwards in the league score 19 points per game, while shooting 52% from the field, oh and being 21 years old to boot? Without even looking it up I think it's safe to say that there weren't any, even if you don't consider the age aspect. There were 11 guards in the league that scored at least 20 points per game, only 5 did it while shooting a better field goal percentage than Ben Gordon; so that's right in the middle of the pack there. 3 of those were All-Stars; one would have been if he wasn't injured. None of those 11 even sniff Ben Gordon's 3pt percentage. And all but 3 played at least 38 minutes per game; only 1 played less then 35 minutes per game. I'll let you guess who that one was.But just out of curiosity, who do you consider to be star players, just on the perimeter? Apart from the obvious Kobe, Lebron, and Wade's.
