If Bol is there at 25 you pull the trigger! Perfect high reward low risk prospect this far back in the 1st round.

Right? Whenever you see SAS in that range you can be sure they are targeting a guy. Think Parker, Ginobili...

OK... So is there any chance we can get this guy? @BonesJones What are your thoughts about Goga? He looks like a baller.

    SAS has the #29.

They look like they're trying to move 9 spots up to the #20. This makes me think that they're targeting someone that may go before 29.

For a draft that is supposedly weak, a bunch of teams seem to want to climb up to late first round. This is what I've been saying for a while now why I don't want to use this pick to simply dump a contract that will expire next year. Players picked 15-40 are in all in a similar tier, so everyone wants in. And getting in late first round locks you into a really cheap rookie deal for three years, instead of using valuable capspace to sign a second rounder. 20-30 might be more valuable this year than in others past.

BTW, we also have a TPE for 1.74 mil from the Swanigan trade. Keep an eye on this tonight and leading up to July 1 if teams want to increase a bit of space. Maybe we can extract a future pick for exchange. I'd take Mo Wagner and a future second to give LA a bit of space if they want it (not like they'll do much with it). Same with Kurucs from BK.

I actually prefer a bunch of guys in the 20-30 range more so than most of the 11-19 guys. It could be that other teams are thinking the same way.

It makes sense for Brooklyn and GS if they really like a guy to jump up from 27 and 28. San Antonio already has 19 so they must be torn between two guys and are trying to get both. Both Sacramento and Dallas (especially) don't really have the pieces to move into the 1st round most likely but who knows.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA @BonesJones

We just got into a big argument over this during our mock off season. I couldn't find a single bit of information saying we had a TPE from that trade, including on sites that really keep on top of those things. Now it is listed as us having it, lol. Sorry Bones!

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but that tweet said 20-23. Maybe those teams are trying to get AHEAD of Portland at 25 or PHI at 24 who want the same guy. Or they tried to get our pick but we reneged.

I just caught it on Shamsports. Was thinking about ways to send our pick out to BK for Taurean Prince but unfortunately he makes just a BIT more money to be able to do that.

Pffffft. Hachimura has nowhere near the offensive game that Melo had at that age.

Sorry, my point wasn't clear. I think there are certain guys in the 20-30 range that teams are all worried about the others in that range also taking so they're trying to beat each other to the top of the 20's.

I was wondering how Portland got a TPE since they traded Swanigan for Skal

then I remembered the Vonleh TPE and figured they absorbed Skal using the TPE, then traded Swanigan to Sac for their newly created TPE...?

If we did, that is an extremely smart way to keep an asset (however minimal).

Also annoying how we let a 12.5 mil TPE just expire a year ago.

Again, I'm talking skillset. They do the same things. No one said he's as good as Melo.
