I can understand that perception, but I think what people miss is that Ant actually had more time to work on his game and develop his body during that year than Trent did. Trent was at Duke one year, not three or four, and in that one year he had NCAA practice time restrictions, classes, and games. Yes, he did get game experience over Simons. However, Ant had the advantage of actually preparing for a pro career in every other conceivable way.
I am anxious to see everyone of them for different reasons. I keep forgetting Skal is even on the team . I could care less about his stats but I want to see if he can cover the perimeter. If he can. then there is less of a need to bring Aminu back. Because I think Skals is better at everything else.
I meant six months older. Good catch. Trent was born in January, I think, and Ant was born in June or July.
Kind of? That's like saying the Sun is kind of warm. heh. I actually like Trent's Potential, the guy can score, he's gotta learn a lot and keep getting better but he's really young, who knows.
Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. Trent isn't a bad player. He just needs to improve his shot selection.
That's my point. And Olshey just said in his presser how Ant is a special talent. If we keep complaining about Trent because he's not Simons ... guess what, there aren't many players we'd like in comparison.
I would prefer players go to at least one year of ollege so they can practice and play against competition rather than just working out. That's the part that bothered me about Bazely as he missed a whole year of critical competitive basketball. He should of at least played in the g league.
