Oh man.... he felt threatened? I guess Ujiri is lucky he didn't get shot.

This is just not a good look for the Oakland PD.

They come off as petty and extremely unprofessional.

The right play would have been:

Oakland PD: He didn't have the right credentials to get onto the court, our officer was trying to do his job and overreacted in the heat of the moment. We apologize to the Raptors and we will work to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

Raptors: We also apologize for how the situation unfolded and would like to commend the Oakland PD for being a great organization.

    Done and done.

Instead the PD is doubling down, and there's talk of a lawsuit, so the Raptors can't say anything. If I'm the NBA I ban that organization from providing security at future games.

"The NBA briefed us to be on the lookout for fake credentials, when the colors didn't match our officer immediately acted to protect the players and fans."

Yup. There was a way for them to be in the right, but also fix the whole thing. I can't believe they're still pursuing it.

Sheriffs office now contends Ujiri showed credentials, his NBA ID, and indentified himself as the Raptors President, but didn't have the right credentials to get to the court. The officers still maintains Ujiri pushed and struck him. His private Laywer sats his client has a "serious jaw injury" and that charges will still be pressed.

Looks like the officer is trying to get paid. Hoping Ujiri will settle. Every witness however sides with Ujiri. Apparently, the security footage from oracle shows Ujiri hitting the officer with two fists, according again to the lawyer.

Look you either have the correct credential for floor/locker room access our you don't, it's THAT simple. Everybody has an NBA ID, shit even TPFKATHCP has one.....that ain't getting you on the floor. A separate credential is what that's for.

But it sounds like there was an additional credential for the trophy presentation.

The only solution here is to void the result and replay game 6.

The Oakland Sheriff's office has released a statement saying they have pictures of Ujiri striking the officer. They have shown said picks to various media outlets including the Globe and Mail but are not allowing them to publish. They further maintain by doing this they have not affected the Witness pool.

They have though. They are trying to intimidate witnessess by saying they have evidence they refuse to share. They are basically calling witnesses liars.

Well it is interesting Ujiri hasnt said anything (AFAIK), if the cops are lying they seem to be really glued to the lies, maybe they feel like they can get away with it. Its actually become kind of strange at this point.

I bet they also have evidence that it was Ujiri that injured Durant.
