He is a 6'9" PF. "Daum was the first Nebraska native in NCAA history to score 3,000 points in a career, finishing seventh with 3,067. He averaged 25.3 points and 11.7 rebounds last season and finished as SDSU’s career leader in scoring, rebounds, 3-pointers, field goals and free throws."

Worthwhile addition. Very good offensive player. Shoots well from deep. Can post. Gets to the line and never shot under 82 percent from there. Rebounds. Defense is a concern.

Honestly, he's a college mid-major Kevin Love. Definitely worth kicking the tires on him.

By now, Daum’s ruthlessly efficient scoring is far from a secret. Averaging 22.7 points and 8.6 rebounds, Daum’s skill level as an inside-out scorer pops. He’s on course for a third straight season in the Top 20 nationally when it comes to usage rate, according to KenPom.com, a third straight season with a true shooting mark of more than 60% and with a three-point clip above 40%. While his efficiency is actually slightly down from last season, the track record holds up well. And to be fair, Daum’s 2016-17 was a truly remarkable campaign: he rated in the 85th percentile or above as a scorer in every single one of Synergy Sports’ offensive play type except for isolation. Good with either hand and dangerous on the block, spotting up and as a screener, Daum hung 31 points on Wichita State and 21 on Kansas this season and should have South Dakota State in position to return to the NCAA tournament.

Reminds me more of late-career David Lee.

Pretty interesting comparison, since David Lee was 1-for-29 from 3 over his entire career and only attempted five 3s in his last six seasons.

Or did you mean late in his college career? He was 0-for-6 from 3 his final two seasons at Florida.

Daum was much more productive in every area except blocks as a college player, but it's a fair comparison. If Daum goes from UDFA to averaging 16 minutes per game like Muscala, though, that'd be pretty good.

6’9 with a 7’3 1/2 wingspan. Grew up on a farm. Dad played in the NFL. Mom was a basketball player and coached him. Prototypical stretch four, something Stotts has been dying for, but also shows an inside game. Questions about his athleticism but looking at available video, man, the guy just knows how to score. 7th all time scorer in D1.

If he shows out in Vegas I’d love to see him get an invite to training camp, or a two way contract.
