I just got another update on rashard abou the knicks.!<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Seattle's <u>Rashard Lewis</u> is indeed a free agent and plans to visit New York for a recruiting trip if Isiah Thomas invites him July 1, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Thomas will make the 6-9 Lewis his top free-agent priority and hopes to wine and dine him, perhaps on James Dolan's yacht, in July. Lewis was the center of a mini-controversy yesterday, with the report he could lose his free-agent status on a technicality by opting out a few days too early. Though the contract language was hazy on the date, the Sonics aren't pursuing it. The Sonics released a statement yesterday, saying "It's clearly understood by the Sonics and <u>Rashard Lewis</u> that he is a free agent." Agent Tony Dutt, who goes way back with Thomas as <u>Marcus Camby</u>'s first agent, told The Post yesterday Lewis will consider a half-dozen teams. Thomas is not allowed to talk with Lewis until July 1.</div>I think this is great but I dont want jamal to leave if this trade happens so much. But as long as we still have DAvid Lee im happyrealgm.com
Who don't the Knicks want? Seriously. Kobe Bryant, Jermaine O'Neal, Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Vince Carter, Chris Webber, Grant Hill, and the list goes on. Is there a way they could just sign every player in the NBA? Isiah is desperate to make something happen.
Everyone seems to want to go there but haha they always end up with nothing. Sheed wanted to go but as you can see, he decided to stay with Detroit. I believe Chauncey will too. NY is a mess, a lot of people say they want to go there but I'd find it hard to believe they actually wanted to.

If he comes to the knicks this will be there starting 5C- Eddy CurryPf- David LeeSF- Rashard LewisSG-Steve FrancisPG- Stephon MarburyComin off the bench would be QRICH, Jared Jeffries, Balkman, Mardy CollinsThats a pretty solid team!
Please Rashard come to the Knicks! I think it could happen. With Durant probably going to the Sonics, I think they'd need some perimeter players to back up Ray Allen and Ridnour. And perhaps a developing big guy. As long as the Knicks don't trade Lee or Curry, I'm fine.

Put Q at the 2 and take out Francis and you are better off. Also, DTP is right, many players use the Knicks as leverege to make more money elsewhere.

Also Crawford is a streak shooter who will shoot you into offensive ruts more than often. His defense is ghastly and kills you against a team with an elite 2 guard. I'd be more than glad to give him up for Lewis.

Im sure Frye and Nate will get better. Will someone tell me how old rashard lewis is. I think age has something to do in this trade also. Its hard for the knicks to give u very young players.!
27 is pretty old. I admit Knicks actually need some more talent like that( experienced players). They have to get rid of Francis the really old guy!
Eh Frye is overrated. I dont think he's that great. He's got a nice jumper but he plays virtually no D and I've never been that impressed when he posts up
Frye is not overrated. He just hsa lost his great shooting and if he works on it he will be back at his amazing shooting like his rookie season. I think if he works on his shots and his agressivness he will be a great foward. I dont think the knicks need him that much. If he wasnt in the Rashard deal there would be 3 fwds and he would not help. There would be David lee and Rashard. Thats why there trying to trade Frye in a deal for fowards.
