Big deals are going to be harder with only Harkless and Leonards contracts. I suppose you can throw Skal's 2M in any deal, but Blazers are likely not getting a big name this summer.

Not like that was gonna happen anyways, but now it's a lot harder.

Thinking out loud what if we traded Leonard into someone’s cap space, opened up the full MLE, and signed Mirotic?

    Dame
    CJ
    Harkless
    Mirotic
    Collins

    Simons
    Bazemore
Little? Layman? Trent? A vet min guy like Sefolosha?
    Skal
    Kyle O’Quinn

Collins moves to the second unit when Nurk gets back. That seems pretty balanced.

Nice move. Now NO has to find a way to dump around $3 mil so he can throw the full MLE at Kanter.

Bazemore and Harkless? Bazemore is more of a 3&D guy and Harkless is a slasher&D.

If we sign Mirotic, it would mean Hood, Kanter and Curry are gone at a minimum. They can still sign Aminu, but at at that point....why? You signed his replacement.

Yeah you would have to add Zach to get Love. Griffin would now have to wait until the deadline.

Mirotic's production fell off a cliff last year, too risky unless it's a 1-year deal.

Bazemore is going to start at SF.

Really like this. Bazemore's shooting percentages may not look like much on paper but he's MUCH more of an outside threat than Turner. And he's very active on defense. If we no longer need Turner to be the point-forward with Simmons coming on then this really makes sense. Much better fit.

Bazemore was playing really well last year until he got hurt for about a month. So much so that I actually had him on my fantasy team. Afterwards he could never get consistent minutes with all of the young SG/SF's that Atlanta has.

Why do people think Harkless leaving is all but done?

Will his knee even pass a physical?

Trade Harkless and sign either Hood or Kanter to full MLE, retain Layman and Aminu.

Did they though? His numbers in New Orleans were in line, and in some ways better, than the previous year. He wasn’t bad in Milwaukee either, he just played less.
