Dang, this dude just popped out of nowhere...Very interesting for those teams picking in the late 1st/early 2nd. I guess Detroit was very high on him last year, and wanted his agent to hide him so they could nab him with their pick. The stats on him:-20 Year old center from Ukraine.-7'1, 270.Pros:-Lots of length and quickness-Athletic, high-energy player.-Doesn't shy away from contact.-A pure post player, who spends 90% of his time working down low.-Has a nice jumphook.Cons:-His shot is unknown.-Very foul prone.-Goes for the block almost every time, rather than trying to stop them with his body.-Average defensive rebounder.-Defense could use some workHere is his profile on draft express:http://draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=1065I'm hoping as a Pistons fan that we can grab him with the #27. He sure is interesting.Imagine a frontcourt with Maxiell, Amir, and Fesenko. Teams would never get a shot off nor get any rebounds.
I've been hearing a lot about him over at DX, and his stock appears to be rising. Apparently Detroit and San Antonio are taking looks at him at 27-28. I haven't seen him play at all, so I couldn't tell ya, but he looks like he's gonna be the Joel Freeland of 2007.
The Hawks work him out today actually.. Obviously he's a very intruiging prospect due to his size, athleticism, and potential; I still have no idea what to do with him on my mock though..
