As an aside, Olshey sure does appear to be the antithesis of Trader Bob when it comes to acquiring "chemistry" guys...
Changing your jersey number will get you a second sale from a die hard fan of your game...at least there's the potential to sell your name twice to the same customer...beyond that I've read that a lot of players are super superstitious about things like jersey numbers or certain shoes, etc If one player is attached to a number for "good luck" or "dad wore that number" etc.. and one isn't or just wants a change all around, I doubt it's a big deal. I wonder how much Kobe made from his jersey number change given his market? Not sure if players get a piece of that merch or not...the team sure would I'm sure

Changing to the jersey number you've had since youth or that has special meaning to you will get you comfort and confidence. Never underestimate the role of psyche.
