Someone in another thread suggested Bjelica--what additional consideration do you think it'd take for Sac to swap him for Moe?

Russell-Towns is a really nice duo to build from. Too bad they'll have three max dudes preventing them from adding much else. We have to thank our lucky stars we got our franchise center (as Neil called him yesterday) for a measly 12 mil

    Ah for fucks sake.

LA just opened up max space. They have only 3 players left on their roster.

Rich Paul getting his own client to waive the trade kicker is just bogus.

Does that mean the Lakers Roster is literally, AD, Lebron and Kuzma...?

Crabbe waived his trade kicker to get sent to Brooklyn. It seems to happen quite often.

Yes. They will be hit with a minimum roster space charge of like 900k *9 (and paying 5 mil dead salary to Luol Deng).

Horrific roster management, but they're gonna get rewarded yet again.

The Lakers are basically gonna go for Kemba, Kyrie, or Butler then fill their roster with vet min contracts? Horrible construction of their team. Also, AD throwing away 4 mil is laughable... what kinda agent advises that?

If they spend that 32M on a max free agent we are really going to get an answer to the classic offseason shitpost question:

"What would be the record of a team of 3 all-stars and 12 D-League players?"

Kyrie waived his to get to Boston from Cleveland. Marc Gasol waived his to go from memphis to Toronto. It happens. often enough. Maybe more often than teams actually paying out the trade kicker. AD waived it to get to a better situation, he felt, for himself.

If you're Rob Pelinka, do you go for a max guy like Butler or Kyrie or Russell, or do you try to spread the money around to get guys like Beverly, Reddick and Lopez?

Lakers could possibly have 3 top 5 players. At worst, they probably have 2 top 5 players and a top 20 player.

Houston is on the verge of adding Jimmy Butler (according to media AND vegas odds).

Utah adds Mike Conley. Denver will be better.

In OKC, Russ and PG are both going into next season healthy. Roberson is back healthy.

Neil, it’s your time to shine brotha. You need to make something happen by Sunday. If we run it back, we’re likely a 5 or 6 seed at best and will have definitely missed our championship window. If you can find a way to add a 3rd piece, with Nurk coming back into form, I think we have a starting 5 to compete with anyone in the west.

    Find a way.

Another question: If the Lakers are able to sign Kawhi (highly unlikely, IMO), would Lebron/Kawhi/Davis be the greatest big 3 of all time?

We just need to continue to improve the roster smartly, what LA and Houston are doing is basically praying 3 stars can take g-leaguers+Guys over 35 to the finals.
