Why teams help others get better for so little I return is beyond me.

I get it from the Wizards perspective, Bonga is a PG, Wall is likely out a long time, and Wagner is basically a free first round pick.

Shoot, this isn't good as a Lakers hater. I thought the price would be higher.

They suck anyways, and get free prospect out of it?
As a Blazers fan, I want to bitch about them helping the Lakers. But from their perspective, if they think delusionally they can compete at some point in 2-3 years in the east, opening up max space for Lakers likely moves one of Kawhi, Butler, Kyrie, Kemba, etc. there. All are in the east.

Arw they still hoping Kyrie goes to Brooklyn so they can get Russell for cheaper and still sign a third star...perhaps Butler

They can't get Russell and Butler. They only have ~32 million in space.

Bad news for @ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP, Lebron just gave his number to AD and will now be wearing #6. Looks like HCP is going to have to change his Laker Lebron tattoo.

WTF? How does a team way over the cap absorb 3 salaries without sending any money back???

He'll just add a tiny little x in between. 2x3. Presuming HCP knows that 2x3=6

    Trade exception?
Just a guess, but the Wizzards have a bunch of trade exceptions on the books.

    So Lakers starting lineup is:

    PG: LBJ
    SG: LBJ
    SF: LBJ
    PF: AD
    C: AD

Brings new meaning to 'two-man game'.

Just read that because they didn't make the postseason last year they can include a 15% unlikely bonus of making the postseason for every contract they sign. That means a 20M offer is really 23. And those extra 3 don't count against the cap.

Probably Pelinka does not know about it, but it is a smart way to build the roster if they don't sign a max guy.
