No way. That's crazy. All for a Cult.

The question is how much has he earned over the life of his career?

I think it's cool that he is done and knows it...choices....maybe he wants to be involved in his kids lives more or pursue another interest..maybe just stop traveling. Happens to musicians all the time....even famous ones call it a day leaving tons of money on the table..at 31 he's already set for life if he's smart

But he isn't done. Everyone projected he would get close to $10 mil a year this summer. He's backing out because of his bizarre religious practices.

    Damn!!!

All of you guys that liked either of these posts, should take a "World Religion" class at your local college.

No, I am not a Jehovah's Witness. However, I have had a class on this; and know that this RELIGION has been around since the 1870's.

GOOGLE: The group reports a worldwide membership of approximately 8.58 million adherents involved in evangelism and an annual Memorial attendance of over 20 million.

If you're looking for a "cult" to quote, go for those dudes in the 80's that settled near Antelope. Ya know, Rajneeshpuram.....

If Prince had come to my door, I’d have chatted.

I have felt that we have the same approach on life, for quite awhile now. So for you other guys: lets say I could have been a millionaire, a couple times over; but I walked away from it, because I would not have been happy with my life. Would you fault me, for doing what makes me happy? Would you call me a loser, if all I had to do, was pick up cans for a couple hours a day? Especially, if I CHOSE to live like that, and be happy.....

I just don't understand how anyone here could pass judgement on what Collison wants to do with his life.....

I get both sides. It’s like, you’ve done this long enough, why give up. Earn your keep while you can. But they feel they have. They’ve moved beyond and earned in excess. I hope someday i’m Blessed my earnings exceed my needs for a lifetime of expenses.

Exactly. Very well said. Shoot, I bailed after making a fraction of what he has made. Because..... I'm happy.

If I write this, my phone would instantly burn. I don't how this is in the US but stating this in Europe is at least problematic

Well, there you go. You aren't in the US, and you don't have to worry about stating it. I already did. I will gladly repeat it too, if needed....

His business. I disagree but support First Amendment. Also my right to not follow someone else's religion.

To each their own, as long as the dude is happy. He already got paid more than most people earn in their lifetime.

Of course it's his choice. No question there.

My thoughts though depict my nature. It is in my nature to work as hard and as long as i can to create as much good as possible. The skills and talents i have create, and it is my responsibility to create as much as i can. A musician needs to create music. A builder needs to build. A painter needs to paint. Yes i will retire. But not until i am done and have a feeling that i have done my best.

Maybe Collison is there? May he be happy in all he does.
