Early in ST I heard Luke Voit state that his main goal in '19 was #28. Let the other Yankees see that goal as well. up on the season 4 games to one, keep the gas pedal on and kick some ass!

#28 would be a cakewalk, a given hands down IF this team had a starting pitching staff with a bullpen equivalent of the 70s or 90s Yankees, or even the first 4-5 years of Y2K.
    Imagine having Mo'
    and/or
    Andy big game Pettite
    Roger Clemens
    Jimmy key
    David Wells
    David Cone
    El Duque
    Flash Gordon

I often give Torre too much credit. With a pitching staff and a team like he had a blind deaf three-legged donkey could have ran those teams.

Torre had an excellent staff and upon member departures thee quality of the team diminished .Torre and Cashman both should have been canned after that 2004 implosion. That "midge" game in 2007 was a fucking disgrace which probably had most to do with Torres Exit. As far as the '19 Pitching situation we've all heard Cashman speak from both sides of his mouth.

As much as I enjoyed Torre, I too believe George should of let Torre go after the worst embarrassment in modern day Yankee History; losing the 04 ALCS; after being up 3-0. An epic disaster; in which heads should of rolled both Torre's and Trashman...

Yeah; the Midge ALDS 07 game was the epitome of another meltdown. Funny thing about those "midge bugs"; they were spraying themselves off with bug repellent i.e. "Off"; which attracts midges.
In looking back at the film of that game; it's a wonder Joba could breathe; let alone throw a non-wild pitch.

Yep; Torre should of been let go after 04, just to save an epic 2nd embarrassment in 07.

I admired Torre as a Player. I found him intriguing as a Mgr. But I wasn't a fan of Torre's as a Mgr until he became the Yanx Skipper. Other than instant infamy in the Bronx before he took the job, his years as a Braves Mgr was an example of a Mgr who seemed to be unfit to be a Mgr. Finishing 1st in the NL West in 1982; he went down in flames 3 consecutive games to lose to the Cards in the 82 NLCS, a blowout.

His 1983 Season was a huge disaster. Mid August his Braves were 6.5 games in First place; with the Bums 2nd. By August 29th he had lost his 6.5 game lead and the Braves began a 6 game losing streak. The Braves found themselves 5.5 game back behind the Bums by Sept. 23rd.
His record for August was 11-16; and for September 12-16. Not how a contender gets hot in the dog days of Aug/Sept. when Pennants are often determined...

Due to his tenure in Hotlanta, I really didn't expect much out of Torre at all. In fact I expected disgrace. The epic Yankees Teams he Managed; were truly a self driving Rolls Royce or a Bugatti Chiron...

A-Fraud trying to be a MLB Diplomat is like serving the Queen a Shit Sandwich.

Is like sending a flea bitten whore to North Korea for denuclearization talks.

Is like asking a Boston Priest to commit to a lifetime of Chastity- doh :blessed: :hcp::hcp:
( I will say an extra Rosary tonight ) :devilwink:

Is like sending a 21 year old virgin to a fraternity house to tend bar, during a new recruit party ...

Is like- telling a homeless person they get a Steak Dinner tonight, but sending them to a Dumpster to get it...

    Is like ________________________ ?

Judge should petition MLB to use a 50 inch bat. Only he is big enough to swing one. He'd be capable of hitting balls 2 feet outside and have 120 HR's...
Judge hits a high fly ball to right-center field, Betts almost loses it in the sun
