He is doing what he needs to do, not what you want him to do. Would you have preferred I resurrected one of the other 50 NO bashing threads to provide a better title that fits? I chose yours cause it was the first to pop up in my search. So im not focus on this thread as much as the NO hate in general and how itr should be prettily much quelled at this point, no?
???? Good grief! Almost everyone is saying he made good trades - what's the beef? Even I gave him credit. Take the win and be happy!
So this happens all the time here. A thread is bumped based on recent events. Im not allowed ot bump one of the NO hate threads for people to say he did a good job now? Double standards here... Sheesh....or better yet... GOOD GRIEF......
I like the calculated trades he made. He didn't give up assets beyond expiring contracts. He's attempting to change the culture a bit and possibly get over the playoffs hump into the finals. And it looks like we are finally moving beyond the 2016 free agency (which might have more to do with Paul Allen rather than Neil Olshey).
Its hilarious. It seems when the optomists are wrong, they are willing to eat crow. when the negative nancies are wrong, they just want to move on and enjoy the win without any acknowledgement of being wrong. I say man up!
Olshey has had a great off-season. Judged by early July's, this is his best in 7 years. but I wouldn't call these ballsy moves at all. Like somebody else said, there was no substantial risk involved in any of these deals one thing Olshey has reinforced so far is that he is the master of the bargain bin. When another team is looking to dump a player, Olshey manages to be the first knock on the door time and time again
And something tells me then that even if he trades meyers for LBJ, you NO haters would find something that stipulates it was a no brainer without giving any credit. Again. Haters will hate....
No because most of you said he would have to do certain things to make your wishes true. Like attach assets/picks. He didn't. Give credit.
