i don't know if it was mentioned here, but Whiteside actually wanted to sign with Blazers in his last free agency. He mentioned we were his 2nd option after a game we had against them. Maybe he had regrets and now he's feeling like he "fixed" his decision? Anyway, i'm sure he's aware the Blazers are a great club for building one's market value towards free agency.
CJ & Dame will rub off on him like they did with Nurk! He had a couple head cases with him in Miami..
WTF are you talking about? and pound sand with your "doom and gloom" bullshit all I said, in response to the notion that Whiteside might be traded at the deadline, was that he might actually be needed at C the entire season. We don't know when Nurk will be back and how good he'll be when his is. And right now, Whiteside is the only physical C Portland has. Portland wants to be a contender next season and Whiteside the C might easily be better in that win-now mode than Whiteside the trade asset. Of course if any great deal comes along than Whiteside might be available. That is true for most of the players there's nothing negative about that unless someone is just looking for something they can twist into negative in order to just argue.
Finally a dude with an attitude. We’re gonna see if this “culture” thing we’ve built in Portland is actually worth its weight in words.
so can we feasibly run Twin Towers? Dame CJ Hood Nurk Whiteside who is more the C, id think Whiteside? if nurk keeps dropping weight, he could be an awesome PF? this is a great day
I think whiteside and either Collins or Skall are easily twin towers. Not sure I want to ever see Nurkic and Whiteside on the court at the same time as neither can shoot outside or guard stretch 4s at the line.
Agreed. That tweet says WS exposes the weakside chasing blocks well imagine if Zach was there for cleanup duty. Whaaap!
Nurk. Whiteside is expiring. Even if he pouts he's in a contract year. No reason for him to sabotage his own value.
Who gives a fuuuuuck But in all seriousness, he’s got no choice. And if he gets loose with the lips, they could easily just cut him.
He's an expiring. There is no reason for him to tank his own value before his free agency. And again, this is where we can see if Portland's "culture" is actually worth anything.
I agree, but wonder what happens if Whiteside explodes (in a good way) in Portland. Might make that decision tougher.
