http://clutchfans.net/news/1413/t-mac_speaks_out_on_rockets/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Tracy McGrady and his wife were at Besty Ross Elementary school in Houston today to announce a new library for children that T-Mac's summer softball tournament had helped raise funds for. The star guard/forward spoke afterwards to the press about the Rockets (see local Channel 2 video).McGrady, who also announced that he and his wife are expecting their third child, said he was "excited" to have new coach Rick Adelman but admitted he didn't know too much about him."He's more of an upstyle type tempo coach, which is beneficial for me," said McGrady. "I had brief conversations with him. Seems like a nice guy, laid-back guy. I can't really give you much more because I don't know much about him."While Tracy acknowledged the new style and tempo should be right for him, he was leery to say it was the perfect fit for the roster."When you have a 7-6 guy out there at 300 pounds, it's going to be kind of tough to get up and down the basketball court," said McGrady. "We'll see how [Adelman] structures that and hopefully he can make it fit."The 6-foot-9 Rocket also was clear where he stood with Bonzi Wells."I want Bonzi to come back," said T-Mac. "Me and Bonzi have a great relationship. I think he can help our team. He's real happy that Rick is here and he wants the opportunity to play with Rick. He wants to be here."T-Mac also wanted to clear the air on "new old" Rocket guard Mike James, who was acquired one week ago in exchange for Juwan Howard."I've been hearing that me and Mike have been beefing. Where did ya'll get that from?", asked T-Mac, referring to the rumor that picked up two years worth of steam at the ClutchFans BBS from a snippet in a Toronto paper back in 2005 that noted that McGrady didn't feel James passed the ball enough."Let me clear something up -- me and Mike have a great relationship," continued McGrady. "Ever since he left we kept in contact with each other. That's my man. Me and Mike never had any problems. Never. I actually was trying to come here. I told him, even last year when he went to Minnesota, 'This is the place'. He can help us out. I like the way he plays. He plays with a lot of passion on the basketball floor. He gives us another scoring option at the small guard. As a friend I would like to see him here and I'm glad to see he's back."However, McGrady knows that Houston GM Daryl Morey and the Rockets roster aren't done yet."We don't have a power forward right now but Chuck Hayes," said McGrady. "I'm sure the organization is definitely in the works of getting us a power forward. I still think we need a guy on the perimeter that can create, play defense. We need a guy that can rebound. All these things I'm speaking of the organization is aware of and I'm sure they're working on trying to get that."T-Mac said he would start his workout schedule a month later than usual this year, resuming his workouts at the end of July. He also picked Greg Oden in the Oden-Kevin Durant question and also felt that Kobe Bryant would "probably" end up in Chicago or New York next year.</div>

He came into the last 2 training camps overweight and out of basketball shape, his jumper was MIA a good portion of last year, and he just lost yet again in the first round of the playoffs. His a$$ should have been back in the gym about a month ago.End of July? f*cking ***hole...

I'm sure that's what he is intending the rest is for, but jesus christ it isn't like he just had a career year or the team made it past the first round. He's gotta train his ass off and get back to 02-03 form.

He was saying those things before he went to the new doctor. After he went to him, he didn't have anymore back problems and looked healthier and healthier as the season went on.
