Interesting twist on the trade just announced by Adrian Wojnarowski. Seems the Clippers want to play Harkless alongside Kawhi Leonard: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/27099327/heat-complete-4-team-trade-butler
I can’t believe the Heat fans think that Leonard for Whiteside is anything close to a good deal for Miami.
Well it wasn't made for basketball reasons. Spoelstra and Whiteside were feuding all season, and they needed to offload some money to avoid getting too close to the hardcap after getting Butler.
Yes, but the Heat fans seem to think Leonard is going to actually resemble a legitimate NBA center for them next year.
How much can Mo play? I think his knee is worse than we've been told. How many games did he have to sit out just to rest it?
No sign of his bad knee the first few games as a clipper. Maybe it was a faux injury when he didn't want to play. Uh my "knee hurts"
naahh....he was noticeably favoring one leg at times last season. He was moving fine by the times the playoffs rolled around. Didn't shoot the three well but he shot less than 2 a game. He played pretty good defense against PG13 and forced him into some bad shots and turnovers I think with Harkless, and Aminu for that matter, there's a lot of familiarity-breeds-contempt going on around here. Neither was as bad as a lot of people are making out. Some of the contempt was based on flaws in their games; but some of it just forgetting that every role player has flaws. Portland has traded the Harkess flaws for the Hood flaws. Maybe that will work out better and Hood's flaws and his iso ability will fit better in the Blazer system. But by and large, Harkless and Hood have been about the same level of player overall http://bkref.com/tiny/gGP9Z
I bet Harkless is going to look great with the Clippers all year as a glue-guy on a championship level team and someone is going to overpay for him thinking he's the next Pascal Siakim or something.
