One way or another the Yankees are going to be in a battle for a playoff spot. I can see many Yankee fans teetering out there with ‘ Can you be serious?’. Oh, I am serious. Who really believes that the Rays or Red Sux are going away without a battle? Rays have the best pitching in the AL East Division. Bahstan has the hitting. Yankees hitting has gotten stronger, but the pitching, at best, is sporadic. From one night to the next we just do not know which pitcher will show up. And if Boner continues to sacrifice young arms for wins, he automatically becomes another reason why there will be a race in the AL East.
Yankees playing the Mets at the friendly confines of Citifield. Mets to watch are Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, Armed Rosario, & Michael Conforto. Get into Mets’ bullpen, chances are you can beat the crosstowners. We shall see. Coming back from their London extravaganza may leave our guys somewhat weary.
When Paxton was still a Seattle Mariner a bald eagle did indeed land on Paxton’s shoulder. He should have eagle eye control....we are still waiting! Yes, Lil you do have an eagle eye!
From Eagles landing on his shoulder in Seattle to pigeons shitting on him in New York, Paxton needs to clean up his game.
LeMahieu -3B Judge -RF Hicks -CF Sanchez -C Gregorious -SS Encarnacion -1B Torres -2B Gardner -LF Paxton -P
Per Mike Francesa on Twitter LeMahieu’s last 34 trips to the plate: 23 times on base, 12 runs scored, 13 driven home. (.633/.676/1.167).Just ridiculous.
LeMahieu has set a great example for the rest of this team to follow. Got the same fire and spirit of '78 Yankee Stalwarts Netles, Pinella, Thurman, Lyle and Gossage.
No doubt the Yanx and AL MVP Hands down, thus far... 42 of his 48 RBIs and 4 of his 9 home runs have all come in RISP situations. With 32 hits in 67 such at bats, he's made himself one of the top clutch hitters in the entire MLB. LeMahieu, 30, is having one of the greatest first halves in Yankee history, hitting a league-leading .345 with a major-league leading 108 hits and 62 runs and 61 RBI, to go along with a .486 batting average with runners in scoring position. He’s bidding to become the first player in baseball history to win a batting title in both leagues. LeMahieu is hitting .547 with 18 runs and 20 RBI in his last 11 games, the first Yankee player since Mickey Mantle in 1955 to accomplish the feat, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. He already has 36 multi-hit games this year, including in each of the last six games. You want to know the real reason the Yankees are 54-28, homering in a major-league record 31 games, averaging 8.1 runs a game over their past 14, and possess the most lethal offense in the game?
Note to Baldilocks Bill Ripken: you analysis of LeMahieu being in a hitter friendly Yankee Stadium is pure bullshit.
Eovaldi is going to be the BloSox Closer. Tied with Seattle for the most losses; when winning after the 7th Inning, they go to Eo with his 3rd TJ Surgery and/or a new tendon or rubber band in his elbow; his 3rd. I'm not sure how many MLB players have ever had 3 TJ's, but I bet it's very very few. Whadda Ya' say Eo blows that elbow out a 4th time b4 this season is over.??? BloSox Odds to Win t/AL Pennant is 1.4%. Odds for Winning a World Series 0.4 Yanx Odds to Win the AL East Pennant is 22.2 % and 10.9% to Win the Series. Yanx have the 4th highest odds to Win the World Series, behind #1 Dodgers, and #2 Houston and #3 Twins, SAY WHAT TWINKIES... Rays AL Pennant Pctg 16.3% and 8.2% to win the W.S. Odds are just that Odd Ass-tros Odds to Win the AL Pennant are 26.5% and 12.7% to Win the World Series. Obviously the Ass-tros are the AL Team with Odds favorites; but don't place your bets on a Series Win imho- Orioles Odds are <0.1% and <0.1% to win both the AL Pennant and World Serious... (I've got a private bet going with Stampedehero. He put $1,000o down for the O's to win the World Serious. If they win I pay him 100 Grand, if he wins he pays me the $1,000)....anyone else want in on the action??? Twinkies have a 24.3% Odds to win the AL Pennant and 11.1% Odds to Win the W.Series Indians Odds are 0.7% for AL Pennant and 0.3% to Win the Series. Not much higher % to win a Series than the O's, thus Stampedehero's rationale for picking the O's to win it all....In other words if the Indians have that low of a chance and only 2/10ths difference between the Orioles and Indians; it can be done.... Dodgers have the overall highest Odds to Win the World Series. Odds to Win the NL Pennant are 45.3% and 27.5% to Win the World Series. Overall highest odds of all MLB Teams. Imho- I don't see the NL representative winning a World Series this year. Not unless Pitching trumps Hitting, as it did in 1990's Sweet Lou Series Sweep...
