Who should the Hawks have taken Chris Paul or Deron Williams?They just are horrible at the draft. I mean they could have had a backcourt of the last two seasons ROY's. Paul/Roy would be nasty NBA ready from the get go duo. Enough of my rant, anyways...Who should the Hawks have taken Chris Paul or Deron Williams?
If I was the Hawks leadership, I would pick Chris Paul from that draft. Sure he might have been hurt in each of the past two seasons, but I think he would work better with this Hawks team. Williams seems to work better with a big man, in the pick and roll, while Paul seems to be better at the kick outs and working with wing type players. So his game to me, would mesh better with the Hawks than Williams would, but I really don't think you would go wrong either which way.
On my mock, I had Chris Paul going 2nd. Paul fit Atlanta's style more than Williams (more up-tempo), was more ready, and like valo said - more of a leader.
Neither, because if they picked either of those, they would not be able to start a dynasty with Acie. :dribble:
If Chris paul had landed in Atlanta they would have made the playoffs by now easily. BTW did the hawks get a new logo or something?
