I have won my league 4 out of 6 years, and finished 2nd twice...I don't think that's a coincidence. If it doesn't take skill..then you would be saying it's luck. it surely isn't based on luck.
Fantasy football isn't skill. It's activity. As long as you are active, you have a good shot at winning. Of course, you have to know football to play it, and know tendencies, but it's mainly activity over skill with luck added in.I like it though...

Football is actually the easiest team 2 keep up with. the Majority of the games are on 1 day a week...and that is all you really have to edit your lineup or pick people up...Baseball and Basketball you have to do it everyday.Knowing how good players are, and seeking out good matchups for them, and finding filler players who will fill in and have a big week is based on some type of knowledge. My GF who barely watches the sport couldnt win a league...
Actually, I take it back. You do have to have a pretty good amount of knowledge. You have to be able to compare certain stats and matchups. You have to look at tendecies of players. While luck does play in it a little bit, there is a lot of knowledge involved.
I just picked up Desmond Clark off the waiver wire for Owen Daniels. Clark had the better season last year, and he probably has a better chance of being successful this year as well.
Honestly I think your team is kind of horrible.Huge question marks next to a ton of those players. Rivers fell off 2nd half of the year. Randy Moss will be a piece in NE..not THE piece. Plaxico is inconsistent. Reggie Brown is inconsistent. Ronnie Brown is nothing special. And Frank Gore did great things last year..will probably have a big year, but it's far from assured. How many teams were in your league?

Last season I made the biggest rookie mistake of all-time. My team was 5-1 and in first place in the league, and my team was pretty much loaded. This was my roster at the time:QB- McNabbRB- TomlinsonRB/WR- McAllisterWR- HoltWR- A. JohnsonTE- L. SmithD/ST- EaglesK- WilkinsWell at the time, L.T. was having a solid year but he had not begun his long streak of 3 or 4 TDs a game. Like a complete idiot, I traded L.T. away for Willis McGahee, Willie Parker and Kellen Winslow. I ended up waiving both McGahee and Winslow, and I had a huge drop-off in total points thanks to the trade. McNabb got hurt, the rest of my players were inconsistent, and I went 1-6 to finish the year.Let that be a lesson to first-year fantasy football players, NEVER TRADE AWAY LT. I won't be making that retarded mistake again. :no3:

All those players are going to be great next season. As far as Randy moss goes you have to look at who his qbs were in oakland and where hes at now. He will excel very well in that offense and I wouldnt be surprised to see at least 80 rep,1200 yards and 10 tds from randy moss next season.
You can't tell me all of those players are going to be great. I wasn't wrong about anything. Randy Moss, Reggie Brown Philip Rivers and Plaxico Burress are consistent fantasy football players we can count on? Since when....Rivers will suffer in TD's because of Tomlinson...no doubt about that. Any fool knows that.I would try and package Rivers with a Plaxico/Moss/Reggie Brown to upgrade your QB position with a Carson Palmer/Tom Brady/ Donovan Mcnabb/Dree Brees/Marc Bulger. May not get one of them but I'd try, If a team isn't as deep add a Julius Jones to sweeten the deal. Then I'd try and package another one of your WR's and Ronnie Brown for a upgrade at the RB position..some names to look for: Brian Westbrook/Rudi Johnson/Stephen Jackson. Again, may not be possible but that's what I'd try and do.

I'm sure he'll do great in NE....and Philip Rivers is still a stud...you don't have to have great QB's to win anyway...it's the dumb people who take QBs in the 2nd round...Reggie Brown is going to be the #1 option in Philly next year, and he got 800 yards and 8 TDs last year. He'll up those numbers since he's only going into his 3rd year. Ronnie Brown was only in his 2nd season last year. I'm sure he'll have a breakout season this year. And Frank Gore did some amazing things last year, but that was just the start.I really disagree with you man..

WR situation also isn't that great either...How many teams were in your league?

TD's still won't be a problem, because I don't see Tomlinson repeating his great season again...I see nothing wrong with my team. And there were 10 teams.
