A rumor going around is the Suns are close to working a deal that will get them in the top 10 or very close to it. Most sources believe it is either with the Bobcats or the Hawks in a deal for Marion. There are a couple of guys that could be avaliable then that would really help PHX. - Joakim Noah - A very good defensive player that has a winning attitude and a lot of heart. Yes, his half court offensive skills are questionable, but in the open court, he can do a lot of stuff. He can run and handle the ball, and is very active and athletic. Put him around Steve Nash with the Suns' style of play and a lot of skills could really be brought out of Noah that would benefit the Suns greatly. He would also help the Suns out defensively which they are in need for.- Jeff Green - Green is a versatile player who can also play the 4 for the Suns if Marion leaves. He as well can run the floor. He played in a "share" offense at Georgetown which would transition nicely to the Suns in the NBA. He has good passing skills and can shoot the jumper which is valuable in the Suns' offense.Thoughts and opinions?
I think Joakim Noah would be great for them, he can run the floor with them, he's very unselfish, he's a team player, he could really and gradualy work his way into the lineup and become that extra person they would need if Marion were to then go.
I don't think it's for Marion. If they do trade Marion to go up and get Noah then they would be doing damage....to themselves. I heard it was a trade with our 2 picks and the Atlanta pick next year...Unless they are trying to get Gerald Wallace in this too which wouldn't be bad.
During the Diamondbacks game, John Gambodoro said the Suns were close to trading KT and a pick for cap relief...not trading up, but just cap relief. Well we aren't beating the Spurs next year, that's for sure.

But my dad just heard on the radio that KG-Suns is back on track and they are close to a 3-team deal with Boston, but Marion has to approve....basketball gods owe us.
Arizona Republic<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Phoenix Suns are closing in on a trade that would put them in the top 10 of Thursday's draft, according to David Griffin, Phoenix's senior vice president of basketball operations. The increasing chances prompted Florida's Corey Brewer, Joakim Noah and Georgetown's Jeff Green to agree to work out Tuesday in Phoenix with a fourth mystery player of top-10 caliber. To make a deal, the Suns would likely give up some combination of their 24th and 29th picks this year and the draft pick of Atlanta's that they own for next year.</div>Link
