It is quite an experience. Actually a very neat experience.
My daughter whom is probable older than most here, sort of like less than @riverman, maybe more like @UncleCliffy'sDaddys age. Anyway, has spent more than enough time here to get it. Educate the hell out of herself and use all the schools she can use.

Anyway she has come to visit her parent the past couple weeks. She help her mom get all her techie stuff done
and suggested to her father that he has always been a Stoic. That is a member of the Stoic philosophy. Of course it is clear that since she has now taken up the study of this subject, that is the reason for the reflection.
Interesting though that she is now guiding me in this study that I had began perhaps 50 years ago. But
being a tenacious, focused systems designer, the effort was relegated to all but forgotten.

She now sends me notes and guidance in the study, advises me to go to Mexico for the winter and study philosophy.

I think it is neater than hell! Anyone else experienced this sort of help?

My youngest son taught me to catch trout and helps me with lots of tech stuff, medical stuff and health...he's got his mother's mind....she's a master chess player...I'm not...I like to call it "Dad tax"....he's starting to fall in love with our home in the woods now that he's lived in Eugene and Corvalis for long enough to appreciate it. Said he'll help me fence a portion of the yard for dog sitting which I love to do.

I find it no tax at all, I taught her to play chess damn near 50 years ago. I kind a doubt either of us have played the game since.
Glad to hear you get the pleasure of the experience though.
