The problem is a lack of respect from many young people regardless of race. This tells me they are not learning it at home or school.
Are youngsters anymore even taught to respect their elders and/or those in authority?

Why do you think i am "freaking out". One can object to something but not be freaked out.

Didn't say it was. You made a broad statement and i was one who commented that it was not an appropriate way of handling the situation. Even the police chief made a similar comment. Was he freaking out also?

Yes. Just simple damage control for the overly sensitive masses.

If you've ever been to New Orleans they herd everyone with a horse regardless of race. The horse patrol is no different than motorcycle or squad car, or foot patrol, they all want to justify their existence by being used.
These guys could have been more sensitive, i guess, but people are also over re-acting to pc & images on the net. There is over sensory reactions going on too.
They would have been escorting a white guy on a horse too, if he was being arrested, just wouldn't have gotten the same reaction on the net.

The fact that people will (and did) "over-react" to this pic is precisely the reason it shouldn't have occurred in the first place. Police departments across the country have the reputation of being racially inequitable at the very least. The ability of a police department to "protect and serve" their communities is largely dependent upon those communities' abilities to trust that the police will treat them fairly and respectfully. It is incumbent upon every person who represents any police department to ensure they do not engage in any behavior that damages that reputation. These officers failed in that responsibility.

Would love to hear you explain what these two statements have to do with each other.

yeah...bit different if he's tied to the back of the limo while they drive it eh? Excercising good judgement and speaking with human dignity is hardly cowing to the media but that's sort of #faketakeonhumanity

I do love to see the fake outrage from the trio that always has bouts of fake outrage.

Oddly enough I don't think they will know I'm talking about them.

Do you know the police chief? When have you spoken to him as otherwise your opinion why he said something is
What's funny but sad is how low acceptable standards are for the trump supporters. They do mimic their leader.

I suspect you are partly correct here with this comment. But the word fail, stands out. Begging the question of fail in who's judgment?
Fail must be judged in the context of, for what do we have police departments?

    Then note, that Galveston is not on the list here;

The 25 Most Dangerous Cities in the United States
Rank City State Violent Crime Rate (Per 100,000 People)
    1 St. Louis Missouri 1,817.10

I have seen people herded out of Central Park in NYC. And you can be sure, you best take care when being herded between two trained horses under the control of two trained NYPD mounted Police.
But then never see anyone herded in downtown Portland, where people crap all over the place. It is a damn disgusting jaunt from the nearest transit bus drop off to the Train station.
The old Greyhound station vicinity, close to the Train station is so figgin disgusting, that I expect is why the local Portland bus lines do not go there anymore..
Herding some of those dudes out there, should be a welcome improvement to anyone with any sense.

I specifically stated that they failed in their responsibility to represent their department well in public. No commentary on the effectiveness of their overall policing, especially in comparison to other cities. That list is irrelevant to and serves only to detract from the actual point I made, which is valid and still stands.

Apparently they outsourced all their violence north to Milwaukee.
