Simply embarrassing. Anyone who truly holds the Bible dear would know that it talks extensively about sharing it with others. Saying that it's "too personal" to even share a verse that means something to you shows that...it doesn't mean much to you.
"Such a great book the Bible, amazing book. I don't know about Moses bringing all the animals on the yacht though. How do you have all those aninals on a yacht. Ruin a perfectly good yacht. I have a better yacht than Moses. The best. The bestest yacht. You better believe it."
I'm not sure anything Trump is funny anymore. Following every baffling Trump moment, I end up reflecting on the fact that there are people that actually like him! How is this possible? It's astonishing, and frankly, hard to believe. And what makes it all the more baffling is the fact that a large part of his base are Christians! How embarrassing to be such hypocrites!!!
So personal that you're unwilling to share any verse in the Bible that means something to you? If so, you'd be solidly in opposition to the great commission. I'll gladly be judged by the same measure I use to judge. 1 Cor 5:12 "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?" If he's going to claim to be a Christian, he's absolutely open to being judged by his words and his fruits.
My favorite bible verse is the one that says if one man digs a pit and another man's ox falls into the pit and dies, then the pit-digger has to pay the ox owner, but he gets to keep the dead ox. This just seems like a good rule, and is one that I have always endeavored to follow. barfo
eph 2:8&9 I just don't believe that publicly saying someone is not a christian, because he doesn't respond correctly is necessary, regardless who it is. God knows his heart and where he is in his faith on way or the other. Thats just my opinion of course.
How would God feel about someone using Him to gain an advantage? Using the Bible or Jesus to trick people into following or believing in him?
Oh, I agree. Again, Im not judging his level of faith to anyone else. It is wrong for religion or religious people or anyone to trick people. I have a problem with some fundamental religions and their piety.
Id say he’s not a Christian because he simply doesn't do anything Christ like. Religion has many faults, but whats worse than religion for the sake of religion? Liars claiming to have a faith they dont even try to adhere too, in order to coerce power from people.
A person should be honest as to where they are in their faith. I actually think thats whats worse is someone of the faith in leadership that's deceiving people and has crashed and burned and hurt innocent people. I guess thats why some ministers preach, that Judgement Starts in the House of the Lord.
