G) Jerry WestG) Walt FrazierF) Elgin BaylorPF) Elvin HayesConsidering I'm always picking at the ends of the draft, I don't think I have done a bad job of getting good players. Everyone of them was a proven 20 point scorer or more in their primes as well as being some of the all-time greats in basketball.

Not saying that could ever happen, but that would seriously damage his rep as the best player in basketball.

I thought we were drafting based on who they are today and not what might happen in the future.

With the way he plays right now and considering we're drafting current players based on how they play right now you'd be hard pressed to convince me anyone drafted after him is any better. I ask again, did you watch the playoffs?

oh and RIGHT NOW, he's not an MVP, scoring/rebounding/assist leader, champion.so right now he's a good player not a legend, champion or MVP.So yeah he's a good young lad, but he's had a 4 year career.now someone with 9-16 years of excellence, has to be considered better IMO because most likely they've accomplished more and done it longer.

Lebron James as a basketball player right now is as good as anyone who was drafted after him.I don't know how many more ways I need to word this before you learn how to comprehend the logic. And don't post 3 times in a row again. Edit your first post if you need to add something.

These statistics factor in great players declines which would lower their overall PPG, RPG, APG. However, I do agree that LeBron right now does not compare with guys like Bernard King and Elvin Hayes.

But we'll see how it all works out.

You need to make up your mind on if we're drafting guys based on talent or their trophy case.

It's based on everything that player has done up until now whether their still playing or retired. Has LeBron done amazing things in his four seasons? Yes. Has he put up superb stats? Absolutely. But we have not seen enough of him to put him up as high as you think... Every number I put up was the career averages for that player.... All had close numbers to LeBron, but played 10-15 more seasons and kept those numbers the same. They all led their teams to success, they all dominated in their eras, they all were unique players that people were able to recognize, and most of all they were Hall of Famers. Personally, I think everyone of those players I listed should go ahead of LeBron, but it's your choice to choose him so let's just drop it and move on, because it seems as though we're not seeing eachother's point. CelticFan is on the clock...
