    A beautiful pitch by Malone a strike on the black called a Ball by the Ump.

    The UMP gives Gardner a free pass payback for the strike out earlier.

    Bases Loaded for GT- Malone shit his pants.
    GT swinging at the first pitch just like he did last at bat. A shallow pop fly out.

    Here's a management call. Bases Loaded you got a home run last at bat in the first pitch. What are you to do?? You work the count; you don't swing at the first pitch; not unless the Pitcher Tells you he's going to throw to.

    Ford gets called into yesterdays game, leaps on the field from a telephone boot, 2 RBIs yesterday, two bombs today. Great example of "next man up". Voit & the Parrot are probably wondering about job security!

    Why isn't Griffey jr., "The Kid"; the Yankees Skipper ???

    I love his approach to hitting -
    "the whole point is just to get on base not swing for a home run."
    &
    "The goal as a hitter is to make the job easier for the guy that follows you."

    Sounds so reminiscent of Roberto Clemente and His epic soulful quote
    "If you are not making life on this Earth easier for those who follow; then you are not doing your job on this Earth"...

    I can attest for one thing yes the Kingdome was louder than any place I have ever been in especially in the early to mid 90s. Louder an the Astrodome.
