There seems to be one poster on here who is a Christian that is "pro-Trump". I'll vote with my conscience just like you will, and your "take" on what's important for the government has no more meaning than mine, so what you want out of the government or in the government I respect that but if you get to speak on what's important to you I do too, or you literally become just as hypocritical as the ones you're aiming your diatribe. I suppose you could just take away everyone's right to vote except for you have to be an agnostic. You can't be an Atheist, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc because if you prescribe to a belief system and vote you're pushing your values because you vote with your values.

No, my thoughts aren't predicated on Trump at all, Ive felt this way for for many years about China taking us to the cleaners and the US being more than fair with Europe but they don't always reciprocate.
Im just looking for smarter business practices all around rather than everything being politically driven. I do like solid diplomacy and that one of many my beef's I have with. Typical in your face load mouth New Yorker, Ive dealt with many in my career. Not all of them a good portion of them that I've dealt with.
Im for the politician that can be diplomatics and yet have back bone enough to stand up and and represent what would be fair and equitable. Im all about balance.

Freedom of religion man. I respect your opinion and willingness to express your thoughts.
Not everyone who has a religious background is a Nazi or racist though. Even Obamas Paster of 20 years isn't a Nazi.
Im ok with Buddhism, Hinduism various eastern religions as long as they keep it peaceful and away from government if that is possible at all?

I meant two things separately 1. damn, there are a lot of Christians in this forum and 2. goddamn, Christians tend to be conservative. I should've just targeted the Christian Right since that is where my disdain is aimed.

As for the who should vote or whatnot, everyone should vote, but there needs to be a concerted effort to stop this vicious cycle of arguing about the same things over and over. Abortion is the perfect example. This fight has to end because it's divisive and why? because there will never ever be a time that we all agree on this so we need to get to a place where we agree to disagree and then move the fuck on.

But where do we land? I'd argue (and all of human history is going to back me up here) that we are going to keep on having sex and realistically with sex comes unwanted pregnancies. Since time immemorial women have been drinking tea and eating herbs and taking pills etc, they have also jabbed things into their bodies or tried some other traumatic physical acts to rid themselves of their pregnancies. I think it is pretty safe to say that there will ALWAYS be women who will seek abortion; there has never not been. So for me it comes down to safety. For the safety of the women, there is zero doubt that surgery in a sterile clinic is the best course of action for an abortion.

So what should we be arguing about? "When is it okay to have an abortion?" That seems fair; let's talk it out. Once toes wiggle or it's tail disappears it can't be done or whatever we figure out. Great, deal. "Someone has had 10 abortions, is that okay?" That someone might need counseling. "But I'm pro-life!" Then don't get an abortion. I think you get the idea. We talk and figure it out.

What we don't talk about is "because the bible said so." Not when it comes to our rights and not when it comes to our bodies. And that's where my rage starts: the hypocrisy. I care not that you are pro-life or pro-choice. Just weigh the reality of the situation: women will and will always seek abortion and society cannot push them into the fringes for them; it's about safety. AND women want the choice. Shouldn't women be the ones making the decisions about this?

(Besides, what does the bible even say against abortions? I've found only the opposite where God literally aborts babies himself!)

And so we see it's about safety and biology and human nature and we can work to make adoption easier or whatever but we need to move on!!!! And that's the point: if you base politics on some religious agenda then we are always going to be in flux.

As long as people are involved in, or can affect their Governments their belief systems and values will follow. We can't just turn off our "beliefs" or our values when we vote, or when we do our jobs, those things go with us. What we can do though is promote diversity, respect others opinions, understand that sometimes our beliefs will be the "loser" in the current cycles of government and culture. Pluralism, diversity, and different perspectives are good when it's not just one-sided when people are valued no matter their beliefs, and when we promote love for each other instead of hate because we disagree. To that extent, Christianity has largely failed in the US because they have lost sight of loving the world and looked to use the law and the government to dictate beliefs, and in many cases worse than that. That doesn't mean we have to fall over and be pushed around the second that someone disagrees with us, it does mean that no matter what world-view, lifestyles, etc that someone is a part of we have to be the first to Love them and last to try to use the government to condemn them.

I understand why the western world especially is angry at Religion and angry at Christianity and the things that people have done in the name of the "Bible", and "Christ".

I think many Americans consider themselves Christians because of upbringing and/or other experiences. Thats cool. I don't like people being quick to judge others and any religion that condones hate and or racism.

Hey man, people are free to their religions, of course, but that doesn't give them immunity to criticism, especially when it comes to hypocrisy.

What did I say about Nazis? lol.

But as for religion out of government, that's what I'm saying!!! I think we are agreeing!

The last Congress, yes, but not this House. This House wanted their bill to guarantee humane treatment of immigrant children. Does this answer your question?

Guess you will not be buying a Hellfire missile to protect MarAzul from pirates?

The only reliable source of a rare earth element that makes the Hellfire missile go bang or whoosh (forget which, probably whoosh), is China.

You can always repel pirate boarders the old fashion way, with a sword. However, I doubt our military has any swords in their inventory that will protect our country as well as the Hellfire.

Yup, but, they weigh more. They will reduce the amount of rum MarAzul can haul compared to the light weight Hellfire.

The only reason we stopped producing here is because slaves are doing it in China.
