Back on topic....out of the DNC field I think Warren is looking like Trump's biggest threat...he's terrified to debate her. I'd like to see that debate.

The difference is the Russians know how to use a computer effectively and with malice.

He’ll go after “Pocahontas”, which will not negatively impact a single vote, just to feel cool and name-calling is a favorite of his. Hopefully Warrens team is going through her past with a fine toothed comb so there aren’t any surprises. But yeah, 1 v 1 she wipes the floor with him.

Here’s what I don’t get: if I’m in a debate with trump I just ask him simple questions:

    1) Donald, what’s the capital of Oregon? CRICKETS
    2) Don, what countries borders Holland? France? CRICKETS
    3) Don, who’s the President of Brazil? CRICKETS

I wasn’t claiming to present any proof, nobody asked, I was just flat out disagreeing with you. You’ve literally provided zero facts this entire discussion, you just keep demanding others “do research” while making passive-aggressive remarks that contribute nothing to the discussion. Why don’t you bequeath me with the source of your knowledge so you can validate your smug demeanor?

These are the approximate vote differences between DT and HC in Penn, Wisc and Mich, and their electoral college vote total, for the 2016 election.

    68K in Pennsylvania (20 EV)
    27K in Wisconsin (10 EV)
    11.6K in Michigan (16 EV)

So basically, Trump is president because of about 115K votes.

    Total EV vote was 306-232.

I don't think it's unexpected for the Democratic nominee to gain 2 of these states (let's say Mich and Pennsylvania) which is 36 votes. That would make the vote total 268-270. It's not impossible for them to peal off another state of two (not included in this trio).

And if they win all three of those states (which have tended to lean more D over the last 6-7 elections), that would put the EV vote at 278-260, in favor of the D's.

And you can't tell me that Trump is as strong in Ohio and Florida as he was in 2016.

Since the Dems in 16 basically avoided/ignored Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan, it wouldn't be hard to regain those states in 2020 by simply treating them with dignity and god forbid, show up and talk to them/listen to them.

IF whoever the D's run can keep the states HC won (not an unrealistic goal), and regain states that historically have been more D leaning (Mich, Penn, Wisconsin), they should be able to win.

Oh, I'd say there's plenty of doubt. There's no law that says he has to, and even if there was a law - he doesn't obey laws.

The only smug demeanor is yours johnny. A person would have to be living in a cave not to know that RUSSIA INTERFERED IN OUR ELECTION. Robert Mueller clearly pointed it out in his testimony to congress. Do you get current news in Wyoming? If so, do you actually listen and follow it?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2016_United_States_elections

show me some evidence (that is legit) that Russia didn't interfere in our elections.

Which democratic candidate NOW, has the best chance at beating Trump? Please don't say all, who do you think has the best chance?
Im still going with Joe as I think he has the best chance at winning the ind/moderate/democrat male vote in the mid west.
From what I understand EW doesn't poll well in those States and even her own State within that segment of voters. Plus I have read where even some in the DNC have concerns about Warren being able to tap into those votes. Maybe she can prove them wrong?

Whether he debates or not doesn't matter one whit to his base. The substance of the debate wouldn't even matter to his base. They are in some sort of Svengali trance. Truly, a cult issue here.

I agree that Biden would win by the largest margin but Warren would be formidable and almost as certain a victor in an election with Trump.

Maybe I’d start off the debate with ‘First of all, thoughts and prayers are with the citizens of Alabama, who I hear are still dealing with the aftermath of the horrific hurricane that ravaged their state last year”

I don’t deny there was meddling goin on. There were some Russian bots that put forth a minimal effort to cheerlead for one candidate or another (yes, there was pro-Hillary stuff coming out of the same bot farm, they were looking for clicks more than anything). The thing I take issue with is people claiming it swayed the election in Trumps favor. That’s not the case, sorry. That’s just an excuse the Democrats came up with instead of owning up to the fact they ran literally the only person on earth who could’ve lost to Donald Trump. They blew the election in epic fashion and to this day refuse to own up to it. The DNC cheating Bernie Sanders didn’t help either. That cost them quite a few voters I’m sure.

The idea that a Russian bot farm cranking out corny memes put Trump in office is fucking ridiculous. And there’s no evidence to support people being “swayed” by it.

The biggest deterrent to the Democratic Party is the Democrats themselves. They are corrupt assholes like the republicans, they are just not as good at it. They need to get their shit together before they blow it again.
