<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ESPN -With the Los Angeles Lakers ' attempts to construct a multi-team deal or a direct trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves collapsing, ESPN's Jim Gray reports that talk of a potential three-team trade that would involve Minnesota, Boston and Phoenix has been rekindled, in which the primary cost to the Suns would be All-Star forward Shawn Marion moving to the Celtics.Yet an even bigger trade concept, ESPN.com has learned, was hatched Tuesday by the Wolves, in which Phoenix would likely be asked to trade away the player it has been trying not to trade, All-NBA center Amare Stoudemire, who would go to the Atlanta Hawks .Minnesota, sources say, has been adamant that any trade with Boston would include Al Jefferson. The Celtics, in turn, are willing to part with Jefferson only if they're the team that gets Garnett. It remains to be seen if either side softens its stance in the final hours before the draft. In the newer trade scenario, sources say, Minnesota is looking to acquire Atlanta's No. 3 and No. 11 picks in the draft along with several cap-friendly contracts from the Hawks and Suns. To participate, Atlanta wants Stoudemire from Phoenix.Such a trade would hold significantly greater appeal to Minnesota than any Celtics' offer that didn't include Al Jefferson. The Hawks, meanwhile, would be able to reunite Stoudemire with ex-Suns teammate Joe Johnson and immediately field a promising big-and-small core to build around and make Atlanta competitive, given the current state of the Eastern Conference. The Suns, though, are understandably reluctant to part with Stoudemire after he made the All-NBA first team in what appears to be the most successful comeback from microfracture knee surgery that the NBA has ever witnessed</div>ESPN: Source<span style="font-family:Arial">I'm not going to make a huge post about this, because it's not likely to happen. Doesn't hurt to be posted though, people can speculate.</span>

WOW Amare and Joe Johnson? That's a sick duo. Back together. What the Hawks need is a Mike Conley Jr. then they will be a playoff team IMO.

Whoa, that is a crazy rumor. Would Josh Smith be involved? I think he would be a great player in a Phoenix uniform.

I don't see this happening. There is no reason to trade Amare, and I don't think the Suns want to trade him. Just keep shopping Marion.

This will not happen, although I'd love for it to happen.. And I do not believe Josh Smith was involved in the original deal that was discussed which is awesome.

Amare on Atlanta would be sick. They would easily make the playoffs in the East. I wonder how well Amare would do without Steve Nash running the offense though.

All the Hawks need to do is just feed Amare in the paint and let him create for himself. Besides, they like to run and it's not that hard to throw a lob pass.. if you're any PG. If this does happen, Atlanta HAS to take Conley at 3.

Joe Johnson didn't want to stay in Phoenix because he didn't want to be a 2nd option to Amare which is exactly what would happen if he was dealt to Atlanta.

This seems to be a real legit rumor.. I just heard on ESPN that ATL backed out of the #11/Ridnour trade this morning, and this Amare/ATL trade seems to becoming more realistic..

I don't know why Phoenix would want to get rid of Amare. There team's fine...Maybe they could add some more bench players, but besides that they don't need to change anything.

WE NEED A PICK THOUGH.. We should get our 11 pick back, and add in Marvin Williams.. Then we can actually grab a PG at 11, because PG is our biggest need by far.

The downside of just Amare for KG aside why would the Suns help Atlanta become a playoff team? They still have the Hawks unprotected 1st rounder next year and by trading Amare to Atlanta makes it another meaningless 1st rounder that would no longer hold any value to them or anyone else.

Another important factor that is often over-looked is Amare's BYC status. Amare is still a BYC player and if the Suns traded him his outgoing salary would have a return value of 6.9 million. KG's trade kicker alone is 50% of that 6.9 then you have his entire 22 million base salary to deal with.
