<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Not enough balls for Vince & RJ?Posted: Wednesday June 27, 2007 10:50AM ETThe re-signing of Vince Carter presents the Nets with an interesting dilemma. League sources say Richard Jefferson has gone back and forth on his desire to remain a Net long-term with the 27-year old small forward's desire to play an expanded role offensively being the major sticking point. Carter, however, shares many of the same skills as Jefferson. Should the Nets elect to put Jefferson on the market, Portland would seem to be a natural trading partner. The Trail Blazers are dangling Zach Randolph and the Nets, who have struggled to find a replacement for Kenyon Martin at power forward, could benefit from Randolph's interior scoring (23.6 points per game) and rebounding (10.1) while hoping that being in the same locker room as Jason Kidd will resolve any of Randolph's character issues.</div>http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/nba

I don't like the idea of Zach Randolph coming to the Nets. They still have Nenad Krstic at center, who is still young and developing. They should be looking to move RJ, but not for a guy like Randolph who would only take touches away from Krstic.

Krstic isnt going to be the scorer or rebounder Randolph is, as I predicted, I think this would be a good move for both teams.

RJ for Randolph would be an AMAZING trade for both sides with VC as a Net and Oden as a Blazer. A trade like that for the Blazers, wheather it's Jefferson, or Odom needs to happen.

Aside from Z-Bo's off the court troubles, which he seemed to have more control of last season, this deal is a no brainer for both teams. Randolph would be surronded by two hall of fame calibar talents for the first time in his career and Richard Jefferson would be a great guy for Portland to pick up. Portland has been dying for a clean cut veteran talent like RJ. Their salaries are also very similar. I really don't understand why people are shooting this deal down.

This is a very helpful trade for both sides as Combs mentioned. Richard Jefferson is the perfect solution for Portland's SF issue's these past couple of years. He'll be a nice perimiter player complimenting Roy. I do not expect him to come up with 20 PPG if he goes to Portland but still a consistent 15-17 PPG. I'm very interested to see how Jefferson reacts to losing Kidd.Meanwhile, New Jersey gets their heralded post scorer. Zach Randolph will be a key addition for New Jersey solving their post scoring issues. Jason Collins will now bring his hustle off the bench where most "hustle players" such as Anderson Varejao usually are. The only questions on New Jersey's side is if Zach Randolph is ready to contribute leaving his 'baggage' behind in Portland.
