Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>June 27, 2007 - 11:35 am New York Daily News - Isiah Thomas is hunting for someone who can knock down outside shots proficiently. There used to be a guy like that in a Knick uniform, and he may return to Madison Square Garden again next season. Former Knicks shooting guard Allan Houston is considering a comeback. "I'm not ruling anything out," Houston said Tuesday. "But it's still early. I'm not sure what I'm going to do." Houston is 36 and announced his retirement in 2005 due to chronic knee pain.</div> http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/467...eback_possible/ At the age of 36 and after "the injury", Allan Houston clearly won't be able to contribute they way he did in his prime. That being said, he will still be a very nice spark off the bench for New York and should give the fans something to be excited about. I'm sure after some work, he could be able to get confidence on his range back. I could see him contributing a consistent 6-10 points a night as long as his knee has healed and no new injuries begin to pop-up.
Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! F*ck no I don't even want him back. He sucked soo much worthless money out of the organization and he was so overrated. If he came back I'd boo his ass.
Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! Hold up, it wasen't his fault his Knee gave in. He's always trying to give back whatever he can to the New York franchise and at the time being that he could not further help the team by playing anymore, it isn't his fault. He's noted he want's to come back severl times but he may well do it this time around so it's good that he is really putting it out there that he want's back, he is still capable off helping somehow.I love to see NBA stars who arn't in the prime anymore play once again, it's always cool to see, you know it.
Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! I wouldn't mind if he came back. I want to see him play again.

He sucked every freaking penny out of the NY Knicks franchise - the contract given to him KILLED and BURIED the franchise.

Injuries happen in the NBA and in almost every sport a whole lot and it's just unfortunate that Houston's came at a bad time. Let him come back and go were ever he decides to play, if he wishes to do somthing and he can do it then let him!
Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! My god his career is over. The Knicks are nowhere near a contender but why would he comeback? Maybe its because he wants to get PAID more money because he isnt making that much as ESPN analyst or w/e as being the in the NBA and especially the Knicks.
Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! No, im 100% sure money isn't a problem at all for him and I don't think it will ever be. Why does Houston want to come back to the pro game of basketball? let's see..1. Mabye first and formost he want's to repay the Knicks back by playing for them and helping them out in anyway he possibly can on the court, I wouldn't be suprised if they were to sign him to the minimum money aloud for a contract, or they could sign him for 50 million, Dolan could do that, who knows.2. Mabye he wan'ts to finish his career in the right way by playing basketball again and his case, mabye for the Knicks.3. Mabye his Knee has really healed and he hasen't got anything else to do but roam around the ESPN studio's so mabye playing in the NBA once again probley crossed his mind a couple times.4. He's a classy guy, id just like to see him play again wether he plays for New York or wherever he decides to play but to say he was to play in New York again would bring a lot of memories back to fans that watch him play in his prime along side Ewing, it's good to see comebacks in the NBA today because at times the NBA needs news and early next year we could hear some noise from Houston on returning to play.

With the ESPN money he should be in fine shape with money.
Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! The only way I see this happening is if the Knicks get rid of Steve Francis, only then will they possibly need a scorer off the bench that may be able to start a few games here and there. I'd rather Houston stick to being an analyst, he's pretty good on NBA Fastbreak.
Re: Allan Houston Considering Comeback! I hope he can return to the NBA and contribute...BUT there is no room for him on our roster at this point in time so he can't be an option for us. Oh wait, we have Isiah....guess theres always room for players (whether they make 1mil or 20mil) on our roster. I guess if he is willing to take the minimum and if we can make room for him, I don't mind him being a bench player for us.
