they're doing it now.chad ford and Bill Simmonshttp://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...ockdraft/070627good read.
I don't get why Simmons thinks Oden doesn't have what it takes to be a true winner or w/e. The dude has pretty much been a winner his whole basketball career. He's already shown such great leadership and the ability to step it up in bigger games(ie the national championship game). Plus in Portland he'll have a great team around him with players like Roy, Aldridge, Jack, etc. Why would you not think this guy will be a winner?Simmons is an idiot.
sure he may have exagerated his point, but if you watch Durant and his killer instinct and Oden's let the game come to him attitudes, you can see where he's coming from.Oden plays basketball.Durant lives it.there's a difference and BS think's it's a biggie.I don't think it's as certain as he claims, but it's a possiblility you have to entertain IMO.there are many examples of talented guys who don't give it their all (unless it's a contract year) or are happy being good or very good rather than great.then there's guys who get upset with every loss and want to beat you into the ground.it's not a far fetched notion
I hate Ford now for what he said about the Grizzlies. "Shut them down." He was probably joking, but still, screw him...
