As long as the Democrats avoid campaigning in states, totally taking for granted Mich, Wisc, Penn and other states, this is true. But if they actually campaign smartly, and oh, I don't know, visit them and talk to them? This won't matter.
As I said earlier, the difference between Trump winning and Hillary winning is as little as 100K votes.
That depends on what the message is. I’m not certain that Midwest Dems are as gung-ho on climate change proposals that could take even more jobs away from their areas as people on the coasts are. The central part of the country also is more conservative on economic and social issues, except maybe among younger voters.
True. but the middle of the country has to understand that many of those jobs are never coming back and "promising" their return is pointless.
You go in with that message and Trump wins.
He's got something like a 15 point lead over our chump President. My biggest fear is that Biden gets the nomination against him...too much Hillary baggage there and Obamacare rebellion ….too much stumbling on Joe's part to draw the crossover vote.
You left out women who aren't too fond of him;You can't fix stupid....Trump won't survive the next election with the same support he got in the first one. He's pissed off enough republicans, farmers and auto workers at this point to tip those scales...
So basically what you're saying is, lie to and con the voters.
Too early.….I'll vote for him if he's the nominee but I don't trust his standings this early..He's got something like a 15 point lead over our chump President.

So true but if Dems come with a hard core demo socialist in those States and others it may be tough. As long as the Democrats avoid campaigning in states, totally taking for granted Mich, Wisc, Penn and other states, this is true. It's not offering a hope to people when you either offer a lie or something vitually impossible. No, I’m saying find a way to offer some hope of a better future. There must be new manufacturing jobs making environmentally friendly vehicles and other products. Talk about programs to encourage investment in the heartland. Talk about promoting telecommuting jobs where it doesn’t matter where you live. Talk about using the power of the government to hit offshore manufacturing because it’s environmentally damaging to ship stuff halfway around the globe that could be manufactured here. Also point out the environmental damage of offshore manufacturing because other countries don’t have our environmental laws. In other words, talk like Democrats with a vision instead of the angry bunch of crap they’re spewing right now.
It's not offering a hope to people when you either offer a lie or something vitually impossible.
Warren will be the nominee
How on Earth did you come up with this wild eyed fantasy that I have written off the middle part of the country economically? You should check with me first before you spout off something that simply isn't true. So, you believe that the middle part of the country should just be written off economically? There is nothing true about the position that jobs can't return to the Midwest. A party with a bit of vision should be able to craft policies that enable that to happen. Manufacturing nearly everything we use halfway around the globe is stupid from an energy, environment, and employment standpoint. Why is it that Democrats can try to social engineer climate change with cap and trade laws, but can't come up with ways to use government policy to bring more jobs home? The answer that seems apparent to a lot of Midwesterners is that the party really doesn't give a crap about
them.

Hey, it was Trump that said he was gonna bring back manufacturing jobs. You should really inform yourself with some legitimate news sources.
Perhaps you should have actually read what I wrote in the post you responded to instead of assuming that it was intended as a pro-Trump statement. Here's a hint for you: you will never see my write anything pro-Trump. I believe that a good portion of the stuff coming out of the Democratic candidates' mouths is garbage, but that's a different story. Here's another clue: if the Dems want the votes of the Midwesterners that abandoned Hillary, they really ought to start thinking about ways to help that section of the country out. You don't have to believe Trump's bullshit in order to think that coming up with some economic policies that favor Midwest jobs is a pretty good idea.
Man you can be annoying, Lenny.
His name is lanny, not lenny.
Speaking of annoying, young and ignorant kids annoy me.Perhaps you should have actually read what I wrote in the post you responded to instead of assuming that it was intended as a pro-Trump statement. Huh? Beer shots? That might be an interesting campaign. So true but if Dems come with a hard core demo socialist in those States and others it may be tough.
Someone like Klobachar would have a beer shot in the mid west than EW. She will campaign more to the middle which is smart.
Its like marketing segments, Good, Better, Best, cars. There are more mid price atom's purchased than the upper and lower segment.
The extreme left and right are small segments at this point in time. 2024 may be not?
Speaking of annoying, young and ignorant kids annoy me.
Who said this "So, you believe that the middle part of the country should just be written off economically?" (I believe I read that correctly) and who was it referring to?
Also, I never even inferred that you intended any kind of pro-Trump statement. All I was doing is saying that it wasn't as much a statement by Democrats as it was one by Trump. Your intention had nothing to do with my statement.
And she will embarrass the shit out of Trump during the debates. I'm salivating just thinking about it.Warren will be the nominee
