Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... It's becoming cool on here to hate everything that is popular in America. It's like that here with music, myspace, tv shows, movies, etc. I think honestly that half the people here that act like they are against all this stuff just do it because they don't want to be bashed or w/e.

Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... I'd have to agree with iversonfan but... c'mon Lil Boosie.... Come the F*ck on!| The nigga is garbage.| and a lot of mainstream rappers dumbed down their rhymes.|
Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... Look, that's what happens when the main target audience of the music sees the culture itself as disposable. Clearly, rappers no longer think for themselves overall anymore. Alot of media creations. Marketing over talent. They are now solely embodying what the audience already wants to believe, IMO. Shadows of culture. Minstrels. Mostly.I know you got some young historians out there, but the majority of people listen to puppets and whores, the worst that hip hop has to offer. And people are starting to catch up to that way of thinking. I mean, no country could eat enamel rotting candy for this long and not eventually get sick.

Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... I like to hate things that are popular but suck. As an example, the tv show Friends or the band Nickelback.

Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... I just hate everything I don't like, and if you don't like that than I hate you too.
Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... Hip Hop is so sad today it makes me get mad everytime I hear that mainstream crap, il usally go sit in the corner of my room and cry for hours intill someone notices;;, It's not just with this, it's with almost everything that populized in the whole entire world.

Everything is popularized to a certain degree.

You were just like me once and loved mainstream rap. Discovering a type of music you like better isn't gonna make you hate mainstream all of a sudden. I mean atleast for me(and most people I'm assuming) it doesn't work like that. You don't go from loving one type of music to hating it the next day.
Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... People that hate stuff because it's popular are idiotic.I like things that re popular like Lost and Emo. I hate things that are popular..like American Idol and Country music and Lebron James.Like what you like. Hate what you hate. Don't let the world influence you one way or another though.

But I think we all in some way don't like something that is popular.

I'm just saying it's seeming like it's becoming cool to hate almost everything that's really popular in America.

At first I was like that, but now I just can't stand listening to most of it. Like I don't really mind TI or Luda, but music that says Walk It Out 100000 times just gets annoying; especially when you hear it 30 times a day.

Not rappers like lil boosie or Jim Jones. I'm right with you there.
Re: I'm starting to get the idea that... I hate a lot of things that are popular, all of those things I hate because I just dislike them to a very strong degree, it has nothing to do with just hating them for no reason. For example, I refuse to believe that Justin Timberlake is as good as everyone praises him to be. The guy is a complete joke, but yet millions of people go out and buy his albums so I guess it doesn't take too much talent to do the things he does IMO.
