So my coach calls and I find out I have baseball practice tomorrow from 7-9 since it got rained out today. Figures that is the time of the draft. My question is, how long does approximately each pick have in between? How long do drafts usually last? Do you think I'll be able to see #15 or #27 get picked?

I've got a baseball game...but I'll still probably get to see all of the draft. It's at 6-8, but I'm in Atlantic time so the draft starts at like 9:30 where I live.
I also have baseball practice tomorrow for some reason..from 6-8. I'm going to leave 30 minutes early though.. hahaha
Do you guys know the time limit on each pick? And when does the picking begin, 8 or 8:30? I have baseball and basketball tomorrow so there's probably no chance of seeing any of the first round, maybe some of the second round though?
I work tommorrow night and will miss the draft as well. The good part about it Cap, is when you get home, you should know who your team drafted and whether or not any deals had occured.
From what I understand, David Stern will announce the first pick at 6:30 central, and theres is I think 4 and half minutes between each picks? Im not sure how much time is between each pick...

Some teams take the full 5 minutes, some take less, sometimes Stern waits an extra 30-45 seconds if Jay Bilas is talking in-depth about something, etc.
A fella on another board of mine said they extended it to 8 minutes in between this year.Hopefully it's true.
I have to miss the draft too. I got to work. I tried to find someone to take my shift but I couldn't...

I got off work, although they tried calling me in tonight because the guy that I got to work for me isn't coming in, not my problem. It's f*cking draft night, work can kiss my fat white ass.WOOOO IT'S DRAFT DAY!
I'm gonna see if I can leave practice early with the "I'm sick" bit. That should gimme time to see #15. But since my dad is one of the coaches, he'll probably make me wait in the car until it's over.
I might be able to see the draft after all. My baseball game might get rained out, and I might not have to go to basketball. :yess:
don't be a fag and miss practice. it's the freakin draft. u could just tape the damn thing. all u see is the guy walk up, get a hat, and get his picture taken. it's really not THAT exciting.
