Man, I'm not a Spurs fan, but if I was this would probably the worst Spurs moment ever. Vice-versa for Laker fans, however. [IMG]

Sure it prevented the Spurs from winning that year but I actually still enjoyed the Finals and watching Larry Brown and the Pistons pull off the upset against the Lakers (aka "Dream Team 3", "the Fab Four", and whatever other creative name the media called them at the time).I can only imagine that we would still be hearing about that shot forever if the Lakers would have won the title that year. It would have been THE moment of the modern Lakers, etc. Oh well...Also the Spurs responded to that set back by picking themselves up and taking back the title (against the team that beat the Lakers even) the following year. As they say : all's well that ends well.So yes the shot did suck (from the Spurs perspective) and it was a stunner. But I can look back at it now and shrug (and even admit that it was a heck of a game). Anyway the Spurs can't win every year you know. Though I wish they would.

One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

As a spurs fan, that was definitely the worst moment. Tim Duncan hits an amazing shot which leaves everyone on an emotional high thinking "we got this game in the bag!" then derek fisher hits the most ridiculous shot ever and completely crushes our hopes of winning a title that year. Just imagine if Derek Fisher did not hit that shot, the spurs most likely would have had a 2003, 2004, 2005, championship three-peat.
