My thoughts on Zach are that he will excel this year. He will get better calls from the refs. Yes he will have games he is in foul trouble like all bigs. But he will be just fine over the season.
That all is fine, but for us to win 50+ games, Zach needs to take a leap. For Zach to take a leap, he needs to consistently stay on the floor for at least 30 mins a game.
Skal, Gasol can pick up any foul trouble minutes we get into...or we can go small ball with Hezonja ...etc....with our bench I'm not worried about foul trouble at all ...Zach is going to have those games in my view where he picks them up quickly...enter Skal or Gasol...Zach has a short fuse..I think it's just how he's wired.
Around the 28 min mark, they start talking about Simons. Casey is usually VERY conservative about this kinda stuff and doesn't believe in the hype. He said he was down at the PF talking to players to see if the hype for Ant was warranted, and he came back with comments of "best player in the gym" along with universal praise.
Anyone know what time Media Day starts tomorrow? I think it's like 12pm but I haven't found anything official.
Worked really hard made huge strides. Vast improvements! Even changed his hair and his inner chi once?
When did other players claim that leonard was the best player in any gym? This is some revisionist history
It would be awesome if he takes off for sure. That is the thing about drafting a really young kid. You just don't know exactly what you will get? If they hit well on both Collins and Simmons this could be a whole bunch of fun.
I'm sure over the last half decade I can find an article. EVERY year he was vastly improved, according to teammates
I can not remember anyone saying anything near like what they say about Simons. I remember Dame saying at some point that he looks more focused - and he was the year after that - going from unplayable to an acceptable 3rd string reserve. I believe he always said that he has improved every year, but I doubt very much you will find that they said it every year (or any year mentioning him as the best player in the gym).
Didn't take long to dig one up. https://www.nbcsports.com/northwest...rs-leonard-improved-blazers-teammates-say-yes
Surely you can recognize the difference between someone getting better each year and someone being talked about like they're going to be a star.
