You can say you don't like the trade, but getting a proven 25ppg all-star and keeping your core players isn't a bad deal, even if you don't like it.

its going to be tough for 2 players to score 25points a game and when both players want it during the clutch. theres going to be some arguments between pierce and allen come season time. but theyll both at their prime and is now at their best so it should benefit boston. and pierce finally gets some help.

Allen will come in and play the second option wether he likes it or not. Both could very possibely average 25 a night, it's been done before. Pierce will get the final shot, don't expect Ray to take it. I could see the Celtics giving the Wizards problems next season. Both have big three's with proven stars.

As I said, I really like this trade for the Celtics. They give up little for a proven all star who can really help this team with scoring. Sure, he's getting old, but his shooting stroke will stay the same. Unlike what Mark Jackson said, he doesn't really need the ball in his hands to be effective. He can be very effective coming off screens and hitting the jumpshot/taking it to the rim. Lastly, and most importantly, he will help bring this team into the playoffs, and that is what this young team needs...playoff experience. For Seattle, they get rid of the weight that is Ray Allen and now Durant seems destined to become the 1st option almost immediately.

I kinda like it. Even though it knocks back my hopes of Green being a starter (most likely), the trade sort of does make sense. Here's my guess of what the lineups will be like: Starters PG Rondo SG R Allen SF Pierce PF Gomes C JeffersonBenchPG TelfairSG T AllenSF Green PF Powe/Scalabrine C PerkinsC'mon it sort of works right?

No because in that situation we have 11 players on the roster and will have to forfeit all our games.Gabe Pruitt will be the backup and Glen Davis will be the backup PF at this point.

I'd rather have Gomes start than Perkins honestly. Perkins will always be a career backup.

Both aren't good enough to start or rather one of them is too short to start with Allen and Pierce coming in.

one thing yall need to know about allen is that he is a reasonable guy and understands Pierce's role on the team.|If pierce can't do it Ray will do it.|

I think atleast at the start of the season Perk will start. Apparently he has been working his ass off in the off-season and cut some weight and added some muscle. He is a hardworker. He is a leader in the lockeroom. Gotta give him a chance.RondoAllenPierceJeffersonPerkinsThat's what I'm thinking.

I think Allen will be a big help for the Celtics. He's a responsible player that will know how to keep Pierce happy and not mad cause he's the only one doing the work or anything.

Seriously I don't get it. All the sudden Ray Allen is the worst player in the NBA?

I dont think there better then Kobe and Odom but I think they will work well together. I think A-Walk Pierce and Allen would be cool though. That would be a playoff team for sure
