Pussy 205 strikeouts in 175 1/3 innings 2.87 ERA pitching in a hitters park. You cant scout heart and courage...Gray has NONE Say what you want about Cashman, but Gray can pitch..just is a big pussy and couldnt handle NY
From the very beginning when Sonny Gray signed a Yankee contract. I and most others, had zero doubt Sonny Gray could pitch successfully. But could he pitch successfully in the Bronx. And you hit the nail on top of the head Sonny Gray is a big pussy. Here is an outstanding article, defining the entire career of Sonny Gray. From early success in Oakland, to an injury-plagued 2016. This article defines specifically why Sonny had some of several problems, in the Bronx. Here is the very reason why Rothschild should be fired. As for Trashman. I would not pat him on the back until he holds a World Series Trophy up. I realize the very majority of Yankee fans are pro Trashman. On this board it's obvious Trashman fans are in the minority. The one constant thing we all have in common; is our life long passion for our Yankees; which is the boat we all float in. Sink or float as one. I don't hold it against the; Yankee Fans of the moral Majority. I keep saying to myself : "forgive them for they know not what they are doing". I hope you know I am and have been busting your chops. Never take it personal, when I disagree with you. I will tilt my cap to Trashman for the acquisitions of LeMahieu and Urshela. No one knew what Gio could do when they acquired him. Yankees signed Gio because they needed an able minded infielder. No one and I mean no one knew he would have this kind of incredible year. Ed Woodson look like a brutal Savage in the Bronx compared to "Not-So" Sunny Sonny fking Gray.

I remember hearing about pitch selection. I would love to see these same stats broken down by what was thrown when the count was 0-0, 1-0, 2-0.
Not for nothing, but the Yanx do have a history of being mediocre in the handling of pitchers. Whether it be poor coaching, medical/rehab reasons, not competently using analytics, or poor drafting and/or developing young pitchers, there have been quite few cases where the Yanx' have either failed at grooming young prospects or handling of veteran pitchers. Andy Pettitte, who was drafted nearly 30 years ago, is the last home grown starter that I can think of that distinguished himself.
