I've never been a huge fan of Ray Allen. He's a GOOD player..but not a great one. I wouldn't trade the 5th pick for him, because I think in this draft you can get somebody a ton younger, a ton cheaper, and somebody who will eventually be better then him.
I like Ray Allen a lot, but I probably wouldn't do this either. He's 32 coming off some knee issues, I don't think I'd deal the #5 pick and a giant expiring deal for him. Not to mention, we get ANOTHER wing player without giving any up? We'd become the smaller version of the Hawks.

Yes they need help, but I wouldn't deal out my 5th pick in the draft for a 32-year old that is getting older and older. And like CB32 said, he is coming off knee issues. You may ask why I want him in wine and gold, well.. Cleveland needs a shooter so thats why I want him. I don't see many teams going after Allen, really.
Yeah.. this is a No No for the Celts, Ray is probley suited to staying in Seattle or going to an already winning team and I don't see him being so effective as he once was many years ago, but I certainly wouldn't waive the guy off, he put up 25ppg last season and injuries should never be a problem for him, he's a hard worker and he would still of got things down.Keep the pick Celtics.
