Two things I remember about Adam Wainright: 1. Striking out Beltran with the bases loaded to end the '06 NLCS. 2. The respect he showed Jeters 1st plate appearance in the '14 All Star Game by placing the ball & glove down until Jeter got settled. Wainright soldiers on in todays game thus far 7 innings of shut out ball against a potent Atlanta Offense.
Whadda 2 Out 9th inning comeback. Swanson and Duvall, heroes of this one!! Glad 2c someone other than Acuna get some credit, attaboys. Acuna, although very talented, must be Manny machado's twin brother... #rundon'twalk
Funny thing about the Nationals, every year they are picked to win the division or be the Wild Card Team no one wants to play. But every year they come up a day late and a dollar short. Good position players, ditto the starters but their bull pen stinks to high heaven. Tilt Cap Rodney has run out of arrows, and it goes down from there. Losing Harper did not hurt them a bit but the lack of bullpen moves sure as hell did.
