Brian Hanley says that the Knicks and Timberwolves have ok'd their part of the deal. The sticking point is Boston, which isn't happy with the current swap of draft picks. The three teams do apparently agree on the players. Chicago would like to enter the deal but Hanley isn't sure how they would get involved. The T-Wolves would send Kevin Garnett, Mark Blount, Troy Hudson and Marko Jaric to New York. The Knicks would send Steve Francis, Channing Frye, Nate Robinson and David Lee to Minnesota; and would send Stephon Marbury, Quentin Richardson and Mardy Collins to Boston. The Celtics would send Sebastian Telfair to New York; and Wally Szczerbiak and Theo Ratliff to Minnesota.Hanley says that he spoke with a source inside the Knicks organization and that the T-Wolves want both New York's first rounder and Boston's, that the Celtics want to keep the No. 5 pick and add New York's pick, and that New York would like Delonte West instead of Sebastian Telfair.Isaiah Thomas reportedly doesn't care whether Garnett first agrees to a contract extension.</div>If the Celtics deal for Marbury, I'll be pissed... especially if we deal the #5 pick while doing so. This has to be crap.

Sounds like a bunch of BS to me too. What the heck would the Knicks have left? The players are fine for Boston I guess..but not if the have to giveup #5 as well...they really aren;t improving very much.I think the Wolves could find somethin better anyway.

I don't want Stephon Marbury anywhere near Boston, and especially not slowing down Rondo's development and taking away his playing time. Quentin Richardson is probably better than Wally, and I do like Mardy Collins, but we take on two big contracts and a point guard who is a complete idiot. No thanks.
Wouldn't hate it if they keep the #5 pick, but I've always loved Q. Mardy Collins would be a nice backup for Rondo. But Starbury, ehh, what's he got left on his deal?

So he's got 2 years left just like Wally. I'm not sure if this is true or not. But I would rather have this than Ray Allen.
