This is the best case scenario for us. I'm so glad this ended up like it did. Acie Law will stretch the floor in the future and open up some shots for JJ. Horford will be able to dominate the forward position - small or power. This off-season is going sweet. The only thing I didn't like about this off-season was the new uniform change. Go Hawks!
This puts the Hawks a step forward because Law and Horford are two of the most NBA ready players in the Draft. They'll start to win some more games now. Good job by Atlanta.
Excellent job by Atlanta, like Grizzfan said yall got arguebly two of the top 5 most ready players for the NBA. Very good moves...

Ya'll are so lucky to get Acie Law, hes a tough player who can run a team from the get-go, he'll do good in Atlanta.
The Hawks planned worked out. Took the 3rd best bigman on the board with Horford at three, and got there point guard they needed in Law. Now if they went Conley at three, they wouldn't have found a great bigman like Horford at the 11th pick.
I guess we'll put our #5 pick on the bench now. Horford doesn't impress me on the offensive end, and I don't think he'll ever get 20 points a game. I'm not sold on his all around game, and same with Acie Law. I don't think Acie can be the true PG that we were looking for. He's much more of a scorer, he reminds me of Jason Terry..We could've taken Conley at 3 and still gotten a good big man with another pick. We had the pieces to trade up easily, and we didn't.. I'm not sold on these draft picks even though everyone seems to love them..
I'm not sure yet. Horford could be great though. Law was the best point available. They are both NBA ready. It's hard to say when they are still all messed up from the last few drafts.
I actually loved this draft for atlanta. Horford is definitely a player that Atlanta is missing. He's tough, aggressive, he rebounds and blocks shots well. Pretty much Shelden Williams, but big enough to play right away. and I love l-o-v-e the Acie Law pick. I personally think he was the best point guard in the draft. Some might say he's not totally a true point guard, but I think he can play that position in the pro's, and here's why. He's a true leader, in clutch situations he really came through for TAMU last year. He really carried that team emotionally and with his talent. He's also a good teammate, he's very quick and a pretty good passer. very good draft for the hawks.
