Yes, it has great advantages. The advantage of a movie theater is twofold. 1) You get the social experience of enjoying the movie while in the company of others, principally strangers, in a social experience; 2) You get a bigger picture and a more impressive sound than you can get in even the most advanced home theater systems, although some very expensive hom theater systems can be pretty impressive. I think you've laid out the advantages of watching at home pretty well.
And if its good and you want to watch it more than once its also cheaper to just buy the blu ray. My collection is requiring more shelves.
There are movies I want to see right away. Avengers. Bond. X-men. Formerly Star Wars until they fucked it up.
The stand alone movies Rogue One and Solo were great. Seems like they're fucking up every time Jedi are involved. The Force Awakens was garbage too.
I think in this case they are purposely not showing the best parts because uts both the the end of the trillogy and of the saga
They've needed better scripts for awhile in my view...I can only take so much CGI before a movie looks like a video game to me
